About the Clarion CCA723 iPod® Cable
The CCA723 cable connects your iPod to Clarion's VRX785BT and MAX685BT DVD receivers. Once connected, you'll be able to listen to your iPod music files while driving, view your iPod video files when you're parked, and keep your iPod fully charged.
The cable also enables your Clarion receiver to provide touchscreen control over your iPod's music playback, while the receiver displays the title, genre, and artist information stored on your iPod. You'll continue to access video functions from your iPod's controls. Warranty: 1 year.

Overview: You can transfer audio and video from select iPods to your Clarion in-dash multimedia headunit using the Clarion CCA-723 connector cable. Control of your iPod is transferred over the cable's USB connection, while audio and video are transferred over a composite video and stereo RCA connection. Video can only be displayed while the vehicle is in park (the unit will display "Audio Only" when your vehicle is in motion). The cable will also charge your iPod video when connected to your compatible clarion headunit and the unit is on.
Clarion Headunit Compatibility: The CCA-723 is compatible with select Clarion in-dash multimedia headunits which are "Made for iPod/iPhone" compatible and have a USB port and AV input.
iPod Compatibility: The Clarion CCA-723 is "Made for iPod/iPhone" compatible and support the following iPod/iPhone model features when connected to a compatible Clarion in-dash multimedia receiver (as of Dec. 2009):

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the headunit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to revert to the older software version or wait until an newer software update is available.
iPod Playback Modes: The Clarion CCA-723 offers two iPod playback modes when connected to a compatible Clarion multimedia headunit - Play Mode and iPod Menu Mode:
- Play Mode: During Play Mode you can control the following playback functions of your iPod: Skip Tracks, Fast-forward/backward, Pause, Repeat, Random and Cancel.
- iPod Menu Mode: The iPod Menu Mode allows you to select music for playback from your iPod by category (Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Genre, or Composer). You can select between categories by using the headunit's numbered preset buttons 1-6. Once you have selected a category, you can search through the tracks in that particular category.
