Everything I Was Looking For
Stephen from CRANBURY, NJ on 4/15/2023
My sister's Sony DH 190 receiver was more than adequate to power 1 pair of speakers, but when I added a second pair of 8 ohm speakers for her living room, it shut down when pressed with any kind of challenging music at higher than moderate volume. She streams music from Qobuz and internet radio stations exclusively for at least 12 hours a day, so I got this unit as a replacement. It runs cool and has no problem pushing both pairs. It's a heavy unit, which makes me believe that it can more than handle the constant use. I ended up setting both the rear volume limiters and the front volume control to the mid range and she controls the volume through her computer apps. Another reviewer had an issue with the signal sensing auto on/off feature, but for me it worked perfectly. It would be more useful to have an independent volume control for the A and B speaker outputs with which she would be able to make one room louder than the other, but you can't have everything. I've paired it with the AudioEngine B1 which works simply and perfectly.
Pros: Well made, High Quality binding post connectors, built to run constantly, which is what I bought it for.
Cons: Lack of individual volume controls for A and B speaker pairs which would help compensate for differences in speaker efficiency and room size.

Nice amp, but put the controls on the front.
Jeffrey from Hartland, WI on 3/16/2023
It's a nice amp, built well, and quite heavy. I like its looks and it appears to have very good components inside. However, why half of the important controls are on the back with little knobs which are not easy to grasp is beyond me. Maybe there is some reason, but I bet most folks would like all of them on the front. It does sound good and meets my particular need well enough.

Great Amp under $500
Andrew from FORT WORTH, TX on 2/11/2023
I've owned the Audiosource Amp100VS and was not impressed, but for the money, it was ok. After my Sonance 260 amp quit, I knew my current system was not living up to its sonic capabilities, so I went searching for an amp to pair with my 2 Channel Denon DRA 800H to hopefully bring it to life. I have DIY floor speakers with Polk V65 in wall's, Infinity C.M.M.D Tweeters, Skar Audio Mids, and Sony downward firing subs. I knew the speakers weren't the problem as they sounded good with the sonance. I decided to give Audiosource another try because they have bass/treble controls, but wanted to step up to a higher level. I'm glad I did. The 210VS elevated my system above my audio expectations. From Primus to Diana Krall and every other genre, the 210VS brought power, clarity, depth, precision and detail to my speakers, even at low volume levels. The audio clarity compared to having no amp is astonishing. I implemented my Infinity Reference 253's, which had really weak highs, and this amp brought them to life with the same aforementioned attributes. The 210VS is connected to the Denon via cables with rca on the amp and banana plugs on the DRA 800H - it has no preouts. I tried the speaker inputs on the 210VS but it still sounded a little weak. I keep the front volume control all the way down and the rear controls about half volume. I have an open floor plan, the listening space is 15' x 21' and this system lacks nothing in filling the space...again, even at low volumes. Great purchase
Pros: GREAT clarity at ALL volume levels, and brings the entire frequency range to life. Opened up the soundstage immensely.
Cons: NOTE: I had loud speaker hiss and had to adjust the front and rear volume controls correctly. Take your time with all the settings..when I got it fine tuned, the hiss disappeared entirely and I got superb audio results.

Figured it would be louder than my old 75W amp!
Crutchfield customer from Ohio on 12/6/2022
I wish I could give this amp a great review. I upgraded from my old receiver (Denon AVR-1312 at 75W/channel) to this one. I also added two new JBL Stage A170 speakers. It's nowhere near as loud as my old receiver. I have this amp set up with my old Sony speakers on channel A and the new JBL's on channel B. Either A or B channel (or both) seem to give me more volume than my old setup. I use this setup to jam my drums to. I need it loud. I use it at max volume (I have the master volume settings on the back of the unit maxed). It just wont give me more than my old 75W unit. Very odd. And after about a good 20 minute jam session, it smells of chemicals after it gets real toasty. I expected a lot more. At least 25W more, I guess lol. Or maybe I'm missing something.
Pros: Built like a tank it seems!
Cons: Not as powerful as my old 75W receiver! Smells like a chemical plant after 20 minutes at max volume.

Crutchfield packaging was excellent along with emails to track prompt 2 day delivery. The AMP210VS is a very high quality amplifier which has been installed in a church to power the organ speakers in the front. Liked that it had both line level and speaker level inputs to accomplish this. We are using the remote power switching input to turn on this amplifier when the organ is switched on.
Pros: Had all the features and power output needed.

Awesome pre-sales, awesome product and awesome post-sales support
Crutchfield customer from Sandy, UT on 6/10/2020
This AMP was perfect for my dual-subwoofer home theater system. I shopped around and Crutchfield had the best price. They also provided support over the phone at no extra charge when I had a couple of questions about two passive-subwoofers which I was unfamiliar with. Thanks!

Auto sensing poorly designed.
Crutchfield customer from Big Pine, CA on 6/30/2019
Easy to connect. Solid and heavy. Stout construction. Auto sensing through rca input doesnt turn unit on unless stereo is almost full volume. It turns back off when you turn stereo back to reasonable volume. Therefore I just turn it on and off manually which is annoying. No remote.
Pros: Solid construction and heavy
Cons: Auto sensing is poorly designed.

Solid and quiet amplifier
Paul from Prince George, VA on 3/18/2019
I am feeding this amplifier directly from a CD changer. The sound is crystal clear and there is plenty of headroom. The construction is solid and appearance simple and professional. My complaint is with the front panel gain control. I likely missed this in my research, but the control only goes -12 to +6 dB. That is, its a trim control. The real gain controls are on the back, recessed and accessed with a small screwdriver. It is still working fine for me, as I don't change volume (or music style) in the house, so small volume changes are sufficient. Still, I would have much preferred a larger sweep. Feeding this amplifier from other sources (that have gain control) would make this a non-issue.
Pros: Quiet and powerful for home use
Cons: Front panel gain control has limited range.

I give this AUDIOSOURCE Amp 210VS 5+Stars
Crutchfield customer from Barberton, OH on 1/30/2019
I have an Onkyo TX-DS797 AV 7.1channel receiver, 4 Bose 701 speakers, 2 Bose 301 speakers, that I just purchased, and 2- VCS-10 speakers, for front and rear centers but I needed an Amp, with enough power to insinuate the 7th channel of the receiver. This Amp enabled me to remove the one VCS-10 rear center speaker and move 2 of the 701's to the rear, added the 2- 301's to the surround channels and now I have a truly Awesome 7.1 theater sound system! This house now Rocks and at a lower volume, than I used to have to set my receiver at, I can vibrate the pictures off of the walls!! "WOW", what a Tremendous and Extremely Unbelievable difference!! THANK YOU CRUTCHFIELD! If you are looking for a GREAT and Powerful 2 channel Amp, at a super price, check out this AUDIOSOURCE 210VS Amp! ( I Truly Recommend this Product ! )
Pros: A Super and Powerful Amp, Easy to set up and opperate!

Mix and match
Billy from Juneau, AK on 1/24/2018
Combined it with yamaha cinema speakers, and my old retired 15" sub and a audiengine D1. Thought I was fried for a bit but the dac helped connect everything. Sounds great, I can crank the yamaha's, and the bass isn't over powering. Really pleased with this mix and match, sounds awesome. My favorite.
Pros: great hifi sound
Cons: Be nice if it worked with the single red cord, wound up using an expensive set
