Did the research and price comparisons and decided these headphones would serve me the best. I am happy to say I am not disappointed.

Prior to purchasing the YH-E700A'S, finding a review was a bit difficult. Not one to be discouraged by a lack of participation, knowing Yamaha's history for audio excellence and my knack for research, the end result...the purchase of one amazing set of headphones, courtesy of Yamaha! My knowledge of stereo equipment is in it's 40th year (yaaaaay). I only say this as a reference to my understanding of the equipment to help the reader. To begin with, the comfort of the ear pads is pleasant and not a distraction from the focus of the headphones, which is the music (at least to me). I have been wearing them for at least four hour stretches and I have no complaints. The crossbar connecting the two ear speakers has enough padding to not cause any discomfort. I am an active person and at some point will be wearing these to the gym, which should give you some indication as to their stability. To say "I Listen To A Wide Variety Of Music ", is the understatement of the decade! As I write this, It's Miles Davis and Co. (I swear, I can see the cigarette fog). Earlier it was Mozart and Requiem and before that Pink Floyd with The Final Cut. Last night, as I played Garth, To Make You Feel My Love.....I know I could smell whiskey. RIght now, Mr. Davis is playing down low and I can hear every note, every ivory. The noise Cancel is not another hiss maker, it actually works as advertised, as does the Ambient Sound Enhancement.
