About the Blaupunkt PCA 1350
The slim, classic exterior design of a Blaupunkt ProComponent amplifier is only the tip of the iceberg. Underneath its cool silver-accented finish, you'll find a rugged amp that'll deliver solid performance over the long haul.
Blaupunkt's PCA 1350 full-range mono amplifier puts out up to 500 watts of continuous power plenty of power to drive a subwoofer or two. An adjustable filter tailors the bass output to match your subwoofer/enclosure combo, while a variable bass boost circuit adds extra authority to the lows. The subsonic filter promotes cleaner, louder bass from your subs by eliminating the inaudible ultra-low frequencies that waste power.

CEA-2006 Compliant: CEA-2006 is a new system of testing & measurement methods for mobile audio amplifiers. This voluntary standard advocates a uniform method for determining an amplifier's RMS power output and signal-to-noise ratio. The criteria for measuring power uses a DC input voltage of 14.4 volts and the RMS power output is measured into a 4-ohm load, with 1% or less Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) plus noise, and at a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz when applicable. Signal-to-Noise ratio is measured in weighted absolute decibels (dBA) at a reference of 1 watt into 4 ohms. CEA-2006 allows consumers to compare car amplifiers and receivers on an equal basis. The Blaupunkt PCA 1350 under CEA-2006 regulations is rated at 300 Watts RMS x 1 channel with a 80dB signal to noise ratio.
Mono-Power Amp Design: The PCA 1350 is designed with specific features to power your subwoofers with a frequency range between 10-250 Hz. This amplifier can also be configured to power a full-range speaker with a frequency response between 10-30kHz.
2-Ohm Stable: The Blaupunkt mono amplifier is capable of handling load impedances down to 2-ohms. The amplifier is rated at 500 Watts RMS x 1 channel into 2 ohms and 1,000 Watts Peak x 1 channel into 2 ohms.
Level Control: The amplifier's level control enable the input sensitivity of the final stage to be matched to the output voltage of your headunit's preamp output. The range of adjustment extends from 0.3 V to 8 V.
Low-pass Filter: This amp is equipped with a low-pass filter, continuously variable from 50-250 Hz, with a slope of 12 dB/octave.
Bass Boost: For added low frequency performance, the amp has a 0 to +12 dB variable bass boost.
Subsonic Filter: The amplifier has a subsonic filter to eliminate super-low frequencies that can rob amplifier power and cause damage to speakers. The subsonic filter is adjustable from 20-55 Hz.
Preamp Level Outputs: The set of preamp level outputs can be used to send a filtered or full-range signal to an additional amplifier.
High-Level Inputs: The amplifier is equipped with high-level (speaker-level) inputs to permit connection to radios without preamp outputs. This enable direct connection to be made to the radio's loudspeaker output.
Integral Fuses: The integral fuses within the amplifier protect the final stage and the entire electrical system in the event of a fault.
Protection LED: The amplifier has an LED on the left panel that glows red when the protection circuit is activated.
Inputs and Outputs Notes
Right Side Of Amplifier:
- Power/Ground Terminals: The power and ground screw terminals are 0.5625" wide to accommodate 4-gauge wire.
- Speaker and Turn-On Lead Terminals: The speaker and turn-on lead terminal are 0.375" wide to accommodate up to 10-gauge speaker wire.
Left Side Of Amplifier:
- Preamp Level Inputs: The amplifier features one set of gold-plated RCA preamp level input terminals.
- Hi (Speaker) Level Input: The amplifier features a five prong connection for use with the supplied speaker-level harness to connect your factory radio.
- Preamp Level Outputs: The amplifier features one set of
gold-plated RCA preamp level output terminals to transfer the audio signal
to another amplifier in your car audio system. A
Configuration Selector switch allows you to choose one of the following modes:
- Full Range/Loop Thru: the amp operates in full-range mode and the preamp outputs pass a full-range signal
- Via Xover/Via Xover: the internal crossover affects the amp and the signal passed through the preamp outputs
- Via Xover/Loop Thru: the internal crossover affects the amp only, while a full-range signal is passed through the preamp outputs
