About the Denon DRW-585
Denon's dual-well DRW-585 has everything you need to make great-sounding recordings of your favorite CDs, LPs, and radio broadcasts. And of course, you get great high-speed tape-to-tape dubbing, too. Dolby B and C noise reduction combat tape hiss, while Dolby HX Pro lets you make "hotter" recordings without distortion. There's also a manual bias adjustment control that lets you fine-tune your recordings for optimal sound.
Auto-reverse play on both decks lets you cue up as much as 3 hours worth of music for hassle-free, uninterrupted playback. Backlighting in both wells makes it easier to monitor how much tape you've got remaining in cassettes on either side, and also provides a cool, high-end look.

Multiple Play & Record modes: This cassette deck offers several play and record modes, including single, reverse, relay, timer play, and timer record options.
MPX Filter: This feature allows you to prevent interference with the Dolby Noise Reduction circuit when making Dolby Noise Reduction encoded recordings of FM stereo programs. When recording an FM stereo source using Dolby B or C, switching this button to the "On" position may reduce or eliminate unwanted interference. Switch to the "Off" position if using Dolby B or C when recording any source material other than FM stereo.
Two-Speed Dubbing: This cassette deck provides a choice of normal or high-speed dubbing.
Music Search System: This feature detects blank sections (lasting for at least 4 seconds) between tracks in order to locate the beginning of a track in the forward or reverse direction.
Automatic Tape Selection (ATS): This feature automatically sets the appropriate equalization characteristics and bias current for the type of tape you're using.
Synchronized Recording Function: Synchronized recording can be performed when this cassette deck is used in combination with a Denon CD player that also has a synchronized recording function. The Synchro jack consists of a single female connection on the back panel (male mono-to-male mono RCA connector cable is included).
Input Level Control: This knob allows you to adjust the recording input level in both channels.
Bias Fine Control: This control is used to fine-adjust the bias. Standard bias is obtained at the center position.
Timer Switch: This switch is provided for use with an optional audio timer, to allow time-shift recording or playback.
Reverse Mode Switch: This feature allows you to listen to only one side of the cassette, or listen to repeat playback of both sides.
Counter Memory Button: This features allows you to automatically stop a fast-forwarding or rewinding cassette at the "0000" position.

Dimmer Adjustment: This cassette deck allows you to adjust the brightness of the display in seven steps (brightness levels).
