Excellent sound, stylish design, and a small footprint

I've had the PMA-150H for nearly 2 weeks, and have been quite pleased with it so far. I purchased it as an upgrade to the Onkyo TX-8020 stereo receiver in my master bedroom. From the start, I've been amazed by the improvement in sound quality - it is clearer and fuller, with better stereo imaging. I had some reservations regarding the power output (35 watts per channel for 8 ohm speakers), but reading a comprehensive review of the product assuaged those fears, and the unit seems to be doing a better job in that department (in a 12 x 16 room) than the 50W per channel receiver that it replaced. My main audio source is TIDAL (I have their HiFi plan), which I control via the Denon HEOS app. There is also built-in support for several other streaming services. I also have the sound output from my TV going to one of the optical inputs, and a Chromecast audio device hooked up to the other optical input. The auto-sensing TV audio input is a great feature. When the TV is turned on, the unit automatically turns on and sets the input to the assigned TV input (which is mapped by default to Optical 1 but can be switched to either Optical 2 or Coaxial). The remote control is large with decent size buttons (including larger buttons for controlling the volume), although I would have preferred that it was backlit for use in darker environments. The HEOS app can also be used to control volume and input sources, and I find myself using it about the same amount as the remote cont
Pros: Excellent sound quality, ability to utilize a variety of streaming services, design
Cons: Price is on the high side, power may not be enough for larger rooms
