There's also Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth for wireless streaming.

Plenty of ways to listen to your tunes

The versatile, compact Denon CEOL RCD-N10 offers many ways to access your favorite music. You can go old-school with the FM tuner or the built-in CD player. Or you can connect to your home network via Wi-Fi® or the Ethernet port on the back of the unit and stream music from Spotify®, Deezer, TIDAL, or TuneIn internet radio. There's also Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth for wireless streaming.

It's also compatible with the Amazon Echo Plus or Echo Dot, and the Google Home, so you can just speak up and ask the RCD-N10 to play a specific tune, playlist, or station. And it will show up in your player list if you're using Roon (subscription required).

Connect your components — including your TV

The Denon CEOL RCD-N10 has an array of inputs for connecting A/V components. There's an RCA input for analog sources, and two Toslink digital optical inputs. One optical input is marked "TV," because the RCD-N10 offers a handy way to boost and expand the sound coming from your TV — to add a little "oomph" to movies and TV show binge-watching. It can even learn your TV remote commands.

On the back, you'll also find binding posts for connecting a pair of bookshelf speakers, and an output for a powered subwoofer (speakers and subwoofer not included).

Set up a wireless whole-home audio system with HEOS

With built-in HEOS technology, the CEOL RCD-N10 can be easily integrated into a wireless multi-room audio system. Stream music to HEOS wireless speakers and components in different rooms, and control each room's speakers independently with the free mobile HEOS app. The app lets you control playback, browse music sources, and select which rooms you want to use. Play the same music throughout your home, or listen to something different in each room.

Class D Stereo Amplifier: The Denon CEOL series RCD-N10 network CD receiver is equipped with a high-output class D amplifier rated at 65 watt x 2 channel (@1kHz, into 4Ω, with 0.7%THD). Full digital processing is used to perform all processes in the digital domain during playback of wired and wireless digital sources, eliminating external noise.

Tone Control: The Denon RCD-N10 network CD receiver provides Bass (100Hz) & Treble (10kHz) control with an adjustment range of -10dB to +10dB). It also offer Left & Right Balance control. In addition, there is a SDB (Super Dynamic Bass) feature that can be turned on to emphasize bass around 100Hz up to +8dB. You can bypass the receiver's tone controls by selecting Source Direct for a purer sound that is closer to the original source recording.

Volume Limit: You can set the unit's maximum volume to 80, 85, 90, 95, or 100 (max). The volume cannot be increased above this setting. The unit's entire volume range is from 0 to 100.

Analog & Digital Audio Inputs: The Denon RCD-N10 is equipped with analog & digital audio inputs. There is one analog stereo RCA input and two optical (toslink) digital inputs. The digital inputs support 2ch PCM audio up to 24-bit/192kHz (not compatible with Dolby Digital or DTS). You can setup one of the optical inputs (not both) for automatic input switching, so when you turn on the connected source device and begin playback, the network CD receiver will automatically switch over to that optical digital input.

Note: There is no phono input for connecting a turntable. If you want to connect a turntable, you'll need a turntable with its own built-in phono preamp or you'll need an external phono preamp (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).

Spring-Post Speaker Terminals: The Denon RCD-N10 is equipped with four spring-post terminals to connect a pair of 4 to 16 ohm loudspeakers. The spring-post terminals will accept bare wire (up to 14AWG). The spring-post terminals do not support banana plugs.

Mono-Subwoofer Output: A mono-RCA subwoofer output allows you to connect a powered subwoofer for bigger bass. The subwoofer output does not contain a low-pass crossover or level adjustment. You'll need a powered subwoofer with a built-in low-pass crossover and level adjustment.

3.5mm Headphone Jack: There is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the front-panel of the RCD-N10 network CD receiver allowing you to connect a set of headphones and listen to your music privately. When headphones are plugged in, audio will no longer be output from the unit's connected speakers. You can set the gain (High, Mid, Low) of the headphone amplifier in accordance with the impedance of your connected headphones.

AM/FM Tuner: The Denon network CD receiver features a built-in AM/FM tuner with 50 station auto-preset memory tuning. You can also set your presets manually. FM wire and AM loop antenna is included.

Q
Can you hook up A passive subwoofer up and daisy chain 4 speakers?
[ ZachZ  May 26, 2023 ]
1 answer
A
You cannot, Zachary. This Denon CEOL RCD-N10 can support one pair of 4-ohm speakers, or 2 pairs of 8-ohm speakers only. If you choose efficient speakers like the Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-400m's in the first link below you can use four total. Instead of a passive subwoofer I suggest using a powered option like the matching Klipsch R-120W in the second link and you can accomplish your system goals with the Denon! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_714RP400ME/Klipsch-Reference-Premiere-RP-400M.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_714R120SW/Klipsch-Reference-R-120SW.html

Can I use Bluetooth headphones?
[ CHRIS  Dec 06, 2022 ]

A
That Denon does not have a bluetooth transmitter, only a bluetooth receiver, so you cannot pair bluetooth headphones to it.

Q
Does this connect with Technica ALTP60xBT turntable?
[ Anthony  Nov 15, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
It absolutely can, A.T. The Audio-Technica LP-60XBT has a built-in preamp. This means it can output a 2-channel line level to the single input on the fantastic Denon CEOL RCD-N10 Compact stereo. Add a nice pair of speakers and this would be a great setup!

Q
Will this play Sirius XM?
[ Richy  Nov 10, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
It will Rick, with the help of your smartphone. With built-in HEOS technology and the HEOS app (for Apple iOS 8.0+ and Android OS 4.0) on your compatible Apple iOS or Android mobile device, you'll be able to stream a wide variety of online music services (fees may apply of course like with XM), plus the music library of your mobile device through the Denon network CD receiver. XM is specifically supported in the HEOS app, so no problemo! Keep in mind that XM just released their new TOUR Bluetooth touchscreen unit, so if your existing gear has Bluetooth, it's also a great option. I've put it in the handy link below for you to scope out! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_220SXMTOUR/SiriusXM-SXWB1V1-TOUR-with-360L.html

is this compatable wita a audio technica at lp 120?
[ Kris  Nov 06, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
It is, Kris. The Audio Technica LP-120XUSB has an onboard phono preamp, so that means you can connect it directly to the 2-channel RCA input on the Denon CEOL RCD-N10 receiver. Just add a great pair of speakers and you have a small footprint stereo with big sound, and a ton of playback format capability!

Q
Does rcd-n10 have built-in speakers?
[ Nick Name Rich  Aug 13, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
It does not have built-in speakers. It has an amp that outputs 65 watts into 4 ohms on two channels which means it can work with any passive speakers we offer and work better with the models that have a medium to high sensitivity. Our home speakers can be found here: https://www.crutchfield.com/m_11999/Home-Speakers.html

wil the sony nw-2x507 walkman work with this?
[ DENNIS  Aug 09, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
If you are talking the Sony NW-ZX507 Walkman in the link below Dennis, you can connect to the Denon CEOL RCD-N10 Compact stereo receiver. You won't be able to connect with USB and you'll need a stereo breakout cable like the high quality OSD Aurum in the second link below, but you can connect the Sony directly to the analog audio RCA input on the rear of the Denon! https://www.crutchfield.com/S-CP0I5Dd3lhf/p_158NWZX507/Sony-NW-ZX507-Walkman.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_452MRCA1M/OSD-Aurum-Mini-to-Dual-RCA-Adapter-1-meter-3-25-feet.html

Are Sonos speakers compatible with this device?
[ Tony  May 30, 2022 ]

A
Excellent question Tony. Sonos speakers are not compatible with this device, sadly. To create a wireless home audio setup with this Denon unit you would have to stick to Denon speakers with HEOS capability.

Q
Are Sonos speakers compatible with this device?
[ Tony  May 30, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
The Denon receiver does not have native Sonos Support, no. It does support the very similar HEOS ecosystem that Denon and Marantz share. With the lack of outputs on this piece, connecting it to a Sonos network could not fully be done.

I bought this a couple of months ago. Everything is great, but I can't get more than one internet radio station. There's supposed to be a list of stations to choose from. Anyone know how to get more stations?
[ DAVID  Jun 13, 2021 ]

A
Dave, I also purchased the same unit two months ago. Fabulous unit. Took me about ten minutes to figure this out as well. Once you have a station locked in, to switch to another listening station press the back button on your remote until it returns you to the selection menu. Once there you can choose from search, local, category or location sections. There are literally 100s of stations to choose from if you choose location or category. a bit less if you select local.. Enjoy, fellow Denon owner john

Hi Dave, i can listen to any internet radio station. Qhen i set it up, I searched by alphabetical name of my favorite one (KUSC) and the receiver connected to it. I see it is via TuneIn. Best regards, Cecilia

refer to the on line user manual from Denon at their website for this unit. They also have a questions area on their website. Linking the unit to my iphone gave me easiest way to find stations versus using the remote.

Q
can a turntable be connected to the analog input of Denon CEOL N-10?
[ Enrico  Oct 14, 2020 ]
1 answer
A
Since the Denon does not have a phono input, you'll need a turntable with its own built-in phono preamp or you'll need an external phono preamp such as the Pro-Ject Phono Box S2. You will use the stereo RCA input connection to your turntable, and the stereo RCA output connects your home receiver or amplifier.

Only with a speaker distribution box. I am using a Niles speaker selector with resistance balancing. Marantz makes a very similiar version, same parent company, that has ability to run 2 sets of speakers directly off the main unit. Both are great
