There's also Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth for wireless streaming.

Plenty of ways to listen to your tunes

The versatile, compact Denon CEOL RCD-N10 offers many ways to access your favorite music. You can go old-school with the FM tuner or the built-in CD player. Or you can connect to your home network via Wi-Fi® or the Ethernet port on the back of the unit and stream music from Spotify®, Deezer, TIDAL, or TuneIn internet radio. There's also Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth for wireless streaming.

It's also compatible with the Amazon Echo Plus or Echo Dot, and the Google Home, so you can just speak up and ask the RCD-N10 to play a specific tune, playlist, or station.

Connect your components — including your TV

The Denon CEOL RCD-N10 has an array of inputs for connecting A/V components. There's an RCA input for analog sources, and two Toslink digital optical inputs. One optical input is marked "TV," because the RCD-N10 offers a handy way to boost and expand the sound coming from your TV — to add a little "oomph" to movies and TV show binge-watching. It can even learn your TV remote commands.

On the back, you'll also find binding posts for connecting a pair of bookshelf speakers, and an output for a powered subwoofer (speakers and subwoofer not included).

Set up a wireless whole-home audio system with HEOS

With built-in HEOS technology, the CEOL RCD-N10 can be easily integrated into a wireless multi-room audio system. Stream music to HEOS wireless speakers and components in different rooms, and control each room's speakers independently with the free mobile HEOS app. The app lets you control playback, browse music sources, and select which rooms you want to use. Play the same music throughout your home, or listen to something different in each room.

Class D Stereo Amplifier: The Denon CEOL series RCD-N10 network CD receiver is equipped with a high-output class D amplifier rated at 65 watt x 2 channel (@1kHz, into 4Ω, with 0.7%THD). Full digital processing is used to perform all processes in the digital domain during playback of wired and wireless digital sources, eliminating external noise.

Tone Control: The Denon RCD-N10 network CD receiver provides Bass (100Hz) & Treble (10kHz) control with an adjustment range of -10dB to +10dB). It also offer Left & Right Balance control. In addition, there is a SDB (Super Dynamic Bass) feature that can be turned on to emphasize bass around 100Hz up to +8dB. You can bypass the receiver's tone controls by selecting Source Direct for a purer sound that is closer to the original source recording.

Volume Limit: You can set the unit's maximum volume to 80, 85, 90, 95, or 100 (max). The volume cannot be increased above this setting. The unit's entire volume range is from 0 to 100.

Analog & Digital Audio Inputs: The Denon RCD-N10 is equipped with analog & digital audio inputs. There is one analog stereo RCA input and two optical (toslink) digital inputs. The digital inputs support 2ch PCM audio up to 24-bit/192kHz (not compatible with Dolby Digital or DTS). You can setup one of the optical inputs (not both) for automatic input switching, so when you turn on the connected source device and begin playback, the network CD receiver will automatically switch over to that optical digital input.

Note: There is no phono input for connecting a turntable. If you want to connect a turntable, you'll need a turntable with its own built-in phono preamp or you'll need an external phono preamp (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).

Spring-Post Speaker Terminals: The Denon RCD-N10 is equipped with four spring-post terminals to connect a pair of 4 to 16 ohm loudspeakers. The spring-post terminals will accept bare wire (up to 14AWG). The spring-post terminals do not support banana plugs.

Mono-Subwoofer Output: A mono-RCA subwoofer output allows you to connect a powered subwoofer for bigger bass. The subwoofer output does not contain a low-pass crossover or level adjustment. You'll need a powered subwoofer with a built-in low-pass crossover and level adjustment.

3.5mm Headphone Jack: There is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the front-panel of the RCD-N10 network CD receiver allowing you to connect a set of headphones and listen to your music privately. When headphones are plugged in, audio will no longer be output from the unit's connected speakers. You can set the gain (High, Mid, Low) of the headphone amplifier in accordance with the impedance of your connected headphones.

I bought this a couple of months ago. Everything is great, but I can't get more than one internet radio station. There's supposed to be a list of stations to choose from. Anyone know how to get more stations?
[ Dave  Jun 13, 2021 ]

Dave, I also purchased the same unit two months ago. Fabulous unit. Took me about ten minutes to figure this out as well. Once you have a station locked in, to switch to another listening station press the back button on your remote until it returns you to the selection menu. Once there you can choose from search, local, category or location sections. There are literally 100s of stations to choose from if you choose location or category. a bit less if you select local.. Enjoy, fellow Denon owner john
[ JOHN  Jun 29, 2021 ]
Hi Dave, i can listen to any internet radio station. Qhen i set it up, I searched by alphabetical name of my favorite one (KUSC) and the receiver connected to it. I see it is via TuneIn. Best regards, Cecilia
[ CECILIA  Jun 28, 2021 ]
refer to the on line user manual from Denon at their website for this unit. They also have a questions area on their website. Linking the unit to my iphone gave me easiest way to find stations versus using the remote.

I'm not familiar with the Bose sound bar but, if you are trying to connect wirelessly then no it will not. If It is a wired connection than it should just like a regular speaker connection.

can a turntable be connected to the analog input of Denon CEOL N-10?
[ Enrico  Oct 14, 2020 ]
1 answer
Since the Denon does not have a phono input, you'll need a turntable with its own built-in phono preamp or you'll need an external phono preamp such as the Pro-Ject Phono Box S2. You will use the stereo RCA input connection to your turntable, and the stereo RCA output connects your home receiver or amplifier.

As far as I can tell it does wether it's official or not I can't tell you that but mine connects to my iPhone or iPad but only as devices for the Denon. Not sure if it sends signal to headphones. Interesting question.

Are there still firmware issues with this?

I have had no firmware issues. We did a firmware update as a matter of course when we set it up. Thereafter, our Denon RCD-N10 has worked as expected. We are happy with it.
[ Fairmeadow Guy  Sep 22, 2020 ]
I had no firmware issues so it appears the bugs have been addressed.

I haven't noticed any issues with my new Denon, although I only use it for the CD player.

Can you attach more than 2 speakers to this?
[ AdobeJoe  Jul 23, 2020 ]

No, it does not have connectors for more than two.
[ Ruth  Jul 24, 2020 ]
Only with a speaker distribution box. I am using a Niles speaker selector with resistance balancing. Marantz makes a very similiar version, same parent company, that has ability to run 2 sets of speakers directly off the main unit. Both are great
[ Todd  Jul 23, 2020 ]
Only wirelessly through HEOS, which is really what this system is all about. And you have to buy the wireless speakers from Denon - but the one I got works pretty well.
[ Martha  Jul 23, 2020 ]
No only 1 pair of speakers

How does the CD player work with HEOS? Are you able to distribute the CD player to other HEOS zones? If so, how do you select it in the HEOS app?
[ Randall  Feb 05, 2020 ]
1 answer
Hi Randall, thank you for your question. You are able to play CD audio to other HEOS devices or zones in your home with the CEOL RCD-N10. Once you set this player up with your existing HEOS system, you will be able to choose the CD player as a music source on your HEOS App, and transmit the audio into your additional zones. Let us know if you need anything else, Randall! You can chat with us online or by phone at 1-800-324-9695.

Denon rcd n10 - is this unit 230v or 110v . Also does this have the power to play psb alpha p5 speakers?
[ Nav  May 26, 2019 ]

The unit I received is110v. I can't speak to the psb alpha p5 speakers. I am using it with Polk TSi300 speakers and it has plenty of power for them.
[ Thomas  Jun 05, 2019 ]
I believe it's 110v. I can see no reason why it would not be able to power psb alpha 5's.
