About the Denon TU-1500RD
If you're looking to add precise, dependable AM/FM radio reception to your system of audio separates, you've come to the right place! Denon's TU-1500RD employs sophisticated tuning technology and an advanced microprocessor to lock in stations for extremely accurate, drift-free reception.
A low-impedance output circuit ensures open, transparent sound with minimal distortion in the high-frequency range. It also helps protect the audio signal from the potentially interfering noise generated by other nearby electronic gear. Additionally, the '1500RD sports a highly rigid top cover and an anti-resonant aluminum front panel both are designed to resist vibrations and keep your music pure and powerful.
The tuning knob lets you easily scan the dial for stations or you can use the 10-number keypad on the front panel for direct access to specific channels. 40 station presets give you even speedier access to your favorites, and you can assign an 8-character name to each preset for easy identification.
The large 13-character display on the front panel can also display Radio Text information when you're listening to stations offering RDS (Radio Data System) services. You'll be able to view song titles, artist names, and other information broadcast by participating stations. You can also use RDS Search to scan for different genres of music (rock, country, R&B, jazz, etc.) or other types of programming (news, sports, talk, etc.).

More details on the Denon TU-1500RD
Highly Rigid Top Cover: The TU-1500RD has been built with a highly rigid top cover that is impervious to external vibrations. The TU-1500RD also features an attractive aluminum front panel that cosmetically matches the PMA-2000R and DMD-1000, as well as other Denon A/V components.
Sophisticated Tuning Circuit Design: The TU-1500RD has 4-stage variable capacitors in its front end to guarantee accurate tuning of station frequencies. Thanks to the use of a large-capacity microprocessor in the tuning section, reception drift is eliminated.
Low-impedance Output Circuit (100 ohms): The tuner employs a low-impedance output circuit that enables high quality signal transfer to the amplifier and ensures an open, transparent sound with minimal distortion in the high-frequency range. The low-impedance output circuit also protects the signal from externally-induced noise to further improve the sound quality.
IF Band: The IF Band can be set to Wide or Narrow. In the Narrow mode, the tuner's selectivity is increased, allowing you to cut interference from adjacent stations. In the Wide mode, the frequency response is improved, however, the risk of interference from adjacent stations is also increased.
RDS Radio Data System Functions: The TU-1500RD provides a rich variety of RDS functions and is equipped with a Radio Text function that takes maximum advantage of the various Radio Data System (RDS) services. The name of the musical selection currently being heard, messages and any other text data that is broadcast by stations providing RDS services can be read on the tuner's display at up to 13 characters at a time.
Tuning: This unit has manual and automatic (seek) tuning.
Presets: You can store up to 40 AM/FM presets that may be directly accessed through the numeric keys on the front panel of the unit.
Remote Compatibility: Although this unit does not come with a remote control, it does have an infrared sensor, allowing you to use the optional RC-158 remote control.
Output: There are left and right RCA audio jacks on the back panel that allow you to connect the TU-1500RD to an amplifier.
