Crimestopper SecurView™ SV-6902.SPR reviews
I'm not entirely happy with this product. The install was easy enough, though I had to destroy the old light to get the guts out to make the new light. This unit has a pig tail which connects to the camera cable, that pigtail has three RCA jacks... one for audio, one for power (for which a power cable with inline fuse is included) and one for video. The head unit I purchased, a Pioneer AVH-4200NEX, has RCA inputs for a camera (both front and rear camera inputs). The head unit is a female RCA jack. So I have a camera with a female RCA and a head unit with a female RCA. At this point I have my van torn apart (headliner, A & B pillars) so running down to the store to pick up a male to male RCA coupler isn't an option. I canabalized two RCA cables to make one to work. The display is decent at best during day time, at night, the display is completely washed almost to the point of being useless. Taping off the LED in the camera helps, as does taping off the rear brake light, it seems too much light easily disrupts the night vision ability of this camera. It could be the RCA male to male connector I made, when I receive the ones I ordered (not from Crutchfield) I am hoping it will make a difference. The instructions for the installation of this camera S-U-C-K. There are some little plastic squares I found tucked into the corner of the box, it looks like they should be installed into the lens at some point, but the instructions say absolutely nothing about it.
Pros: Easy enough to install once you destroy the old housing. Clean look once installed.
Cons: Night time camera quality extremely poor. Installation instructions are below poor. Need male to male RCA connectors for head unit.

I have had the work van for over a year and resisted this mod. I wish I had done earlier. It was a pretty easy install with not being a plug and play factory part. Super happy with the final results. Looks stock for half the price and Now I Can See! What an awesome addition. For as much as my Van costs it should have been stock... Mercedes wanted almost $2K installed. Crazy!
Cons: requires a little time to install

This is the most overpriced accessory I have ever purchased. It requires the cannibalizing of the existing brake light for the electronics/relectors. You also have to cut through the existing reflectors to make a port for the camera wire to pass. The product itself also required some X-acto knife work to get the camera cable out. For the price one would expect a port for the cables it shipped with to leave the assembled mechanism. In short, you have to modify the plastic molding of the light/camera to make it work. Be prepared to use the MB part to make it work too. For a much lesser price these problems would be forgivable. Not for what it is selling for, though.
Pros: Looks great once installed.
Cons: Clearly the person who designed it never installed one in the van. All the needed components don't work together without cutting.

More details on the Crimestopper SecurView™ SV-6902.SPR
Vehicle Compatibility: The Crimestopper SV-6902.SPR is a vehicle-specific backup camera that replaces the 3rd brake light on the 2009-2013 Mercedes Sprinter van. This allows you to add the backup camera without having to drill any extra holes into the vehicle. The location of the camera will give a great angle to allow the driver to have the best view when backing up.
Note: This rear-view camera is meant as a back-up aid only; never solely rely on the rear-view camera when backing-up. In addition to using the rear-view camera, always look behind you to make sure everything is clear when backing up your vehicle.
CMOS Camera: The Crimestopper SV-6902.SPR uses a CMOS camera with a resolution of 762(H) x 504(V) for a total of 384,048 pixels. It has 170° (horizontal) viewing angle and a low-light lux rating of 0.1. The camera's angle can be adjusted within its mounting bracket.
Infrared LEDs: The backup camera also has infrared LED's built-in to give you a great view at night as well as during the day.
Waterproof Housing: The Crimestopper SV-6902.SPR backup camera's housing is constructed from high-grade plastic and features a waterproof design (IP67-IP68). This durable housing ensures a long life of the product in most weather conditions. The camera is sealed into the housing with only the lens visible so that you will get the best view possible.
Video & Power Connections: The Crimestopper SV-6902.SPR backup camera features an attached 20" power/ground & video signal cable that connects to the included 28.5' extension cable, which then connects to the 18" video/power adapter cable. The 18" video/power adapter cable connects to the included 8' power/ground harness and a composite video cable (sold separately). The 8' power/ground harness will need to be hardwired to power & ground of your vehicle. You will need to purchase a separate composite video cable to make connection to your aftermarket in-dash receiver and monitor.
