MB Quart mounts the 1" titanium dome tweeter securely in the grille for superior high-frequency dispersion, and eliminating the possibility of water leaking into the woofer's internal works. These efficient speakers deliver maximum output without stressing your amplifier.

MB Quart marine speakers will perform in extreme conditions, with water-resistant components and super-strong composite baskets, magnet covers and grilles. The exterior surfaces are coated with special UV-resistant paint that stands up to broiling sunlight. Inside, the crossover network is conformal-coated to protect against fresh and salt water spray, not to mention dust and sand. In fact, MB Quart tower speakers are IP67-rated, which means they meet the highest standards of weather resistance
Versatile mounting options
The package includes 11 hardware mounting options, ranging from 1-1/2" to 2-3/4". A centering ring allows the speaker to tip left or right when mounted to an arced mount. A steel mounting plate between the pipe mount and the enclosure adds additional strength. All mounting hardware is die-cast for strength and powder-coated to withstand damaging sunlight, spray, and dust.

Features
Woofer Cone: The NPT1-116 speaker pair features 6.5" woofer cones that are made of UV protected injection molded polypropylene and santoprene surrounds.
Tweeters: The 1" titanium dome tweeters use waterproof, coated silk surround and are bridge mounted, rather than mounted to a pole piece, thus there is no chance of water leaking through the woofer cone.
Spider: Each speaker uses an Aramid fiber composite spider, which will not degrade over time and is not susceptible to temperature changes.
Crossover: The Butterworth crossovers have PTC (Positive Thermal Coefficient) tweeter protection and a slope of 12 dB/octave.
Enclosure: The 6.5" speakers are installed in weather proof enclosures made with UV resistant ASA and fiberglass composite materials, providing improved bass response while remaining lightweight.
UV Protection: The composite grills and frames are UV protected, helping prevent color fade.
Grilles: The NPT1-116 marine speakers include 3 pairs of grilles - black (installed), silver, and white.
