About the MB Quart NHT1-120
Big power for your wakeboard tower
Big power for your wakeboard tower
MB Quart's NHT1-120 marine tower speaker puts awesome power and audio performance onboard your boat. The compression horn design delivers massive sound, while the marine-rated components ensure that the party will go on and on. Designed for boating or powersports applications, this thunderous full-range 8" tower speaker fits a wide variety of bar sizes.
Super-cool LED lights
LED lights on a tower or roll bar are both cool and practical. These speakers give you practically limitless color choices, and you can enjoy steady light, a strobe effect, or programmed "light shows" – the choice is yours. You'll need MB Quart's N1-RC remote (sold separately) to control the lighting system and to sync multiple LED speakers.
Compression horn design
Compression horn designs dramatically improve speaker efficiency. And this is the fun kind of efficiency – it means it takes less amp power to produce more usable volume throughout the frequency spectrum. In other words, you can crank these speakers up and hear it all – highs, lows, and mids.
Quality components for impressive performance
The 1" titanium dome tweeter, polypropylene cone, and built-in compression horn give you smooth response and seriously impressive volume. The voice coil is made from high temperature copper and wound on a Kapton former, so it's light, powerful, and durable. This speaker is vented front and rear, so air passes through the spider and the back plate to exchange air over the voice coil. As a result, it stays cool when pushed hard. There's also a built-in crossover, so you'll hear a smooth transition between high and low frequencies – not irritating distortion.
Built tough to rock hard
These MB Quart tower speakers will perform in extreme conditions, with water-resistant components and super-strong composite baskets, magnet covers and grilles. The exterior surfaces are UV-resistant and ready to withstand broiling sunlight, while the heavy-duty (but light weight) ABS enclosure will handle hard knocks and also produce better bass. Inside, the crossover network is conformal-coated to protect against fresh and salt water spray, not to mention dust and sand. In fact, your MB Quart speakers are IPX67-rated, which means they meet the highest standards of weather resistance.
Your speaker comes with a die-cast, powder-coated mount that will resist sun, spray and dust. You'll also get a centering ring and 11 mounting hardware options that fit bars from 1-1/2" to 2-3/4".

MB Quart NHT1-120 reviews
Seems like nice quality materials of construction. Sounds great to me. Nice looking finish, though since it's more of a matte than a gloss finish, I'm curious if it'll be easy or hard to clean bugs off
Pros: Sound, appearance, quality
Cons: LED controller sold separately

I have a pair of these on my 07 200 Speedster powered by a Memphis two channel powersports AMP @ 100 watts per channel. These speakers sound "OK" the sound is a bit tinny to me and flat. There is not much in the way of bass response but they serve their purpose. a rider on a 50 foot rope can hear the music no problem but don't expect rich, full sound from these.
Pros: LED lights are awesome and bright.
Cons: Flat, tinny sound
