Sanus's SA-IWP1 kit offers a clean way to get power to a wall-mounted TV without altering your existing wiring. Once installed, it provides two AC power outlets to plug in your TV and another component (like an Apple TV or Roku). There's also an opening for running non-power signal cables, like HDMI, behind the wall.
How it works
You'll use the included template to cut two holes in your drywall — one behind your TV and another one near the bottom of your wall. Then you'll run the in-wall power cable between the upper and lower holes, along with any other video or audio cables you might need. You'll finish by inserting the wall plates and turning the screws on each plate's corners to engage the rear locking tabs. After installation, all you need to do is run the included 6' AC power cable from an existing outlet to the bottom wall plate.

Features
Overview: The Sanus SA-IWP1 In-Wall TV Power and Cable Management Kit (SA-IWP1) includes a dual-plug power outlet and a wall brush plate for running power and cables behind the wall and to your TV. The power output module can be mounted directly behind your wall-mounted TV to avoid unsightly dangling cables below the TV. The kit is covered by a 5-year warranty.
Components: The SA-IWP1 consists of the following components:
- Power Output Module: The Power Output Module consists of an in-wall panel with dual AC outlets for plugging in your TV and another device (streaming device, digital TV adapter, sound bar, etc.). The outlet is angled at 45° to minimize protrusion from the wall. Attached to the outlets is a 6-foot in-wall-rated 14-2 power cable that runs inside the wall to the Power Input Module. The AC outlets are only intended for use with 15-amp circuits.
- Wall Brush Plate: Beside the power outlets is a wall brush plate for running your non-power signal cables (such as HDMI, optical, and analog audio cables) behind the wall. The wall brush plate features an integrated cable catcher to prevent your cables and wires from falling behind the wall.
- Power Input Module: The Power Input Module installs in the wall directly below the Power Output Module. The module includes a bracket that firmly holds the 3-prong AC plug at the end of the in-wall power cable from the output module. When installed, the included power cord extension's female end connects to the recessed 3-prong plug. The Power Input Module should be installed within 6 feet of (and below) the Power Output Module, and within 6 feet of an existing AC outlet. The top part of the Power Input Module contains a port for running your signal cables (HDMI, optical, etc.) to your AV components. Another option would be to use a separate Brush Wall Plate, if desired. If not running signal cables out of the Power Input Module, you can use the included panel to cover the port.
Installation Overview: The Power Output Module requires a 5-3/8" (W) x 7-1/8" (H) cutout in the drywall directly behind your TV. The included Installation Instructions card is designed to be used as a cutout template for the Power Output Module. The Power Input Module takes 2-1/4" (W) x 3-3/4" (H) cutout. Both modules feature top and bottom locking tabs to hold them tight against the back of the drywall. The Power Input Module includes a Decora-style white wall plate to finish the installation. The Power Output Module requires no wall plate.
