Cool high end surge protector. Confident that my Pioneer Elite Kuro plasma (irreplaceable, and best widescreen ever built) will be protected. Love the techie look!

This is a great little surge protector with a unique, flat form factor that goes behind mounted TVs or anywhere space is an issue. Great for people who really want all the "gnarly" bits of their system to be hidden from view.

Pros: Compact and effective and well-built.

Cons: Not many outlets and can run warm sometimes.

I bought this to mount behind my TV while getting clean power with surge protection. When I first got it the surge was being tripped and I thought it was faulty. I then saw around the house what was happening and it would trip when the washing machine or dryer were being used. It was doing its job. We had the house wiring fixed and everything is great. Slim design and mounts super easy. Great product.

Pros: Surge Small footprint Works Great Easy to mount Multiple Mounting options Comes with everything needed to install

Cons: None

Tiny, but heavy enough to inspire confidence

You never really know the most important thing about power protection... will it sacrifice itself to save your gear. We get a lot of ugly power problems, so when upgrading our TV, I got this to avoid the work of re-installing a power protection outlet behind the screen. Also added LED lights behind the screen, and thought that plugging them into the regular outlet, and TV into this, any power noise from the lights will be on the other side of the filtration. It's nice and compact. Heavy enough to inspire confidence that what's inside is meaningful. Many installation options. One unhappy thing that cost a star - they include something they call "drywall screws" for installing the mounting plate on drywall. Bad idea. Not very sturdy. Sturdy enough, but in the process of sliding the PACPC1 onto the plate, I could see movement. They did have a little extra bag with two traditional drywall anchors and screws, but clearly an afterthought - every other piece of hardware was blackened, the little extra bag stuff was hardware store shiny. Also, the extra bag stuff did not have a head that fit in the countersink on the bracket, so the heads of the screws interfered with mounting the PACPC1 on to the mounting plate. Looks like an "oopsie!" engineering change done poorly from the hardware store. I ended up adding a safety tether... since nothing will touch the device or mounting plate (back behind the TV), only an earthquake is likely to shake it loose. If earthquake then

Pros: Small, many mounting options

Cons: Drywall mount is not very good
