Perfect just what I needed!

Perfect just what I needed! The front of my Denon receiver would stick out over the front of my floating shelf. The Sanus SA808 allowed for me to have all the connections rest inside the wall.
Pros: Recessed option, protection of connections inside wall.
Cons: None

Nifty little thing
Crutchfield customer from Seattle, WA on 10/28/2020
Great design, fits perfectly between studs and has ample room for small streaming devices and/or a small surge protector/power conditioner. Sturdy construction with low profile flanges that help hide rough cuts in the drywall while still allowing you to hang a the TV (e.g. LG OLED GX) nearly flush against the wall.
Pros: Design Size Build material (strong/sturdy) Low-profile flanges grommets for cable passthrough knockouts for accessories and electrical outlet
Cons: difficult to find the surge protector accessory that pairs with this recessed box.

Buy at your own risk.
Crutchfield customer from Florence, TX on 7/8/2019
Has where you can add an outlet but really no way to secure the outlet to the plastic box. Also the diagram does not allow the box to fit in the wall. Not hard to install overall just a poor thought out design. I even called Sanus about how to attach the outlet to the product and everyone I talked to said "we do not know". Anyway I made it work but will not buy this product again.
Pros: None
Cons: Poor install instructions and the outlet that mounts to the item has no where to mount to. You are on your own.

SANUS SA808 Component Box
WS from Virginia on 1/12/2015
Item should be purchased with the SA206 Mini surge protector: I had to modify mine to house the junction box in the bottom as the separation distance between the wood in my walls would not accommodate the side mount. If your space is tight but the aforementioned product. One real annoyance it the template was too small. It does not allow for the space needed to house the mounting brackets and reinforcement flanges around the edge of the box. At first I thought the box was deeper than the wall until I double checked my measurements. Hence, the saying measure twice cut once.
Pros: Fairly easy to install. Looks clean and professional when finished.
Cons: Cutting template not accurate. Use the back of the unit for your measurements.
