Overview: The Sanus SA-PS82 is a power strip-style surge protector with 8 AC outlets and 2 USB ports. The strip has a low profile (just over 1-1/4") with a 6-foot power cord. It protects your electronic devices from damaging electrical surges and spikes. The AC outlets are spaced out along the top panel with five outlets spaced close together (for normal-sized plugs) and three outlets spaced farther apart (for wider "wall wart"-type plugs). In addition, two USB-A charging ports are provided to power/charge your USB-powered devices. The SA-PS82 has a glossy black body, and has two keyhole slots for wall or cabinet mounting. The surge protector carries a 5-year, $25,000 Connected Equipment Manufacturer Warranty.
Surge Protection: The Sanus Surge Protector keeps your electronic devices safe from devastating power surges caused by lightning or power outages. Its advanced internal components, including X3 Fire-proof MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) technology, provide up to 2160 joules of surge protection with a maximum spike current rating of 144,000A or 6 KV (6000 volts). The device can attenuate an electrical spike up to 40dB, and has a Clamping Voltage (or Voltage Protection Rating) of L-N 400V, L-G 400V, N-G 500V. When the Surge Protector is operating properly and prevents an energy surge from damaging electrical equipment, the surge protective component will disconnect from the circuit, and the product will need to be replaced. The surge protector has two LEDs on the side that glow to indicate when your plugged-in devices are grounded and protected. The unit features a 2-in-1 Power and Circuit Breaker switch, which allows you to turn all of the outlets on or off with a switch.
Sliding Safety Covers: Each of the 8 outlets is protected by sliding safety covers. The covers slide over unused outlets to protect children from accidental shock.
EMI/RFI Filtering: In addition to protecting your devices from power surges and lightning strikes, the SA-PS82 filters out EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference). EMI and RFI can adversely affect the performance of your electronic devices, including your A/V equipment. The Surge Protector filters unwanted EMI/RFI noise between 150 kHz and 100 MHz by 40dB.
USB Charging Ports: Two USB-A ports provide handy fast charging for your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or other electronic devices. With a 5-volt 3.4-amp total output, your devices charge faster than with typical 5-volt 1-amp charging ports. The USB ports also protect your devices from damaging spikes and surges while they are being charged.
Installation: The Surge Protector is designed to plug into a standard 120V 60Hz AC outlet rated at a maximum of 15A. Its 6-foot cord lets you place the strip where you need it. It can remain flat on the floor or attached to the wall. Two keyhole slots are provided on the back to mount the unit to the wall or inside a cabinet.
Connected Equipment Damage Limited Warranty: The On-Wall Surge Protector features a 5-year, $25,000 Connected Equipment Damage limited warranty. If a properly-connected piece of equipment is damaged by an energy surge, Legrand (Sanus' parent company) will, at its discretion, provide you with a replacement, pay for repair, or pay the fair market value of the connected equipment, up to $25,000. For full details of the Connected Equipment Damage warranty, please refer to the included Instruction Manual.

Seems to work great. 8 outlets and multiple USB ports is great. The light is a little bright, especially for its intended use of being near home stereo or theater systems. But it's not terrible. 5 of the outlets touch each other, but 3 of the outlets can accommodate very large plugs.
