Overview: The Sanus VisionMount VLT15 Super Slim tilting-mount places 37"-65" TVs just 0.875" from the wall, yet still allows up to 10° of tilting capability. The VLT15 features the revolutionary Adjustable Virtual Axis technology, which allows tilt tension to be adjusted to compensate for a variety of TV depths. Unlike other ultra-thin mounts on the market, the VLT15 also offers additional exclusive features that make it incredibly easy to install and use. ProSet post-installation height and leveling adjustments allow the TV to be perfectly positioned after hanging. ClickStand technology holds the TV away from the wall for easy cable access without having to remove the TV from the mount. Wall plate mounting holes are designed to accommodate 16" or 24" on-center studs.

Compatibility: The VLT15universal wall-mount bracket is designed to fit flat-panel plasma and LCD monitors from 37" to 65". The TV can have a maximum weight of 100 pounds.

Construction: The bracket is constructed of heavy-gauge steel and high-impact plastic with a durable powder-coated black finish.

Super Slim Design: This super slim tilting mount sits just .875" from wall to complement the sleek look of ultra-thin flat-panel TVs.

Mounting: The wall plate must be mounted to wall studs or anchored to a brick, block, or concrete wall using the supplied lag bolts. The slots in the wall plate can accommodate a variety of stud spacing, allowing you to easily mount the TV to wall studs that are 16" or 24" on center. Once the wall plate is anchored to the wall studs and the monitor brackets (with the TV attached) are hooked onto the wall plate, the TV can slide left or right, allowing you to center the TV on the wall. The ProSet feature allows you to also make height and level adjustments. After the TV is secured, it will be held approximately 0.875" from the wall.

Note: Each monitor bracket has multiple bolt holes and can accommodate vertical hole spacing (on the back of the TV) up to 21.625" (550mm). Since the monitor brackets can slide on the wall plate, the horizontal hole spacing on the back of the TV can range from 3.9375" (100mm) to 32.4375" (823mm).

Steel Stud Mounting: If you wish to mount this Sanus wall mount in a building with steel stud walls, you will need the Sanus SSMK1 Steel Stud Mounting Kit (051SSMK1). Steel stud walls are typically found in commercial applications, such as office buildings, warehouses, and condominiums.

Mounting Hardware/Bolt Pattern: The VLT15 comes with M4, M5, M6, and M8 bolts to mount the monitor brackets to your TV. Given the mounting bracket's range of motion, it will accommodate the VESA100, 200, 400, 200 x 100, 300 x 200, 400 x 200, 400 x 300, 600 x 400, 800 x 400, and 800 x 500 mounting hole patterns in accordance with industry standards set by the Video Electronics Standards Association.

Note: Additional hardware may be required for your specific model of TV. For example; shorter or longer screws, thicker or slimmer washers or spacers. These additional accessories can often be found at your local hardware store.

Virtual Axis Technology: Once the TV is secured to the wall, you can adjust the TV's angle. With the Virtual Axis fingertip tilt system, the TV can tilt 10° down, and you can lock the position by simply tightening a knob on each monitor bracket.

ClickStand: The VLT15's ClickStand feature allows you to tilt the bottom of the TV outward and hold it there, giving you easy access to the back panel for connecting cables. Once all the cables have been plugged in, you can release the ClickStand and securely lock the TV into position on the wall plate.

Quick Release Tabs: Convenient quick-release tabs stay hidden behind your mounted TV, and easily pull down to unlock it from wall plate for cable access.

Installation Tools: The following tools are recommended for mounting the VLT15:

Will I have space for the plug if my electrical outlet is not recessed? With this mount having the TV only 7/8" from the wall, I am worried I will not have space for the plug.

The bracket is very shallow. Unless the TV has a 90 degree plug, I suspect you may have to replace the face plate and outlet with a recessed one. Most 'big box' hardware stores have the parts to make this work...

No, a normal plug is too big .... you will need to recess your outlet, replace the normal plug with a "flat plug" or drop the wire down and use a different outlet. BTW: I solved my wire issue with the Wiremold TV Wire cover that hides your wire(s). It's paintable and easy to install - $21.49 at Crutchfields

Our plug is far enough below the mount that it doesn't interfere. Moving the plug is probably your easiest solution. There are also plugs that are at 90 degrees from the main line. You could replace the tv's plug with one of those. I don't know how deep they are so I would measure. Hope this helps. J D

No. You must remove the box you have and replace with a recessed box. Very easy to do and you will have no problems

It's very close to the wall. I did have a recess outlet and just getting the wires from the TV into that box was a challenge. I'd explore other options before deciding. It is a solid unit and is working well for me but the design does limit options. I would suggest doing a mock layout with the mount, on the back of the TV before installing it on the wall. That way you can see where your cords land and adjust accordingly and if where you want to put the TV doesn't work relative to the installation requirements you could return it... I hope thes helps...

I'm looking for a mount to attach our TV to a custom-built media center. The media center has an enclosure for the TV that has about 3 inches of clearance on each side of the TV. Will I have any trouble getting the TV on and off this mount? The images of these mounts that I see all show them attached to the wall. Thanks!

You should not have a problem with clearance on the sides. I have about 3 inches of clearance too. The problem I have is this mount is so close to the wall, the connections that leave from the back of the television run into the wall.

I don't believe so - the pull down tabs at the bottom of the unit will release the locking mechanisms and you only need less than an inch of space to lift the TV off the mount. Cables will have to be connected on the TV prior to placing the TV on the mount as three inches of space on each side of the TV is not sufficient to reach behing the TV once it is mounted.

Hello Ed L - the mount pictured has a very low profile and make the television attached look like its hanging directly to the wall. The two "strings" you see at the bottom of the mount is what is used to RELEASE the bottom of the mount. I have two rather large LEDs using this mount and I have no issues installing or removing the LEDs from this mount. In my opinion you can go wrong with this mount...

Ed L, Since you drop the TV down to attach it to the mount side clearance is not the issue here. The real question is how much clearance do you have vertically. While I don't remember exactly how much room you will need I would guess approx 6 - 8 inches will do. BTW: Since you are mounting your TV in a recessed cabinet I suggest you have a few extra hands available. The vertical brackets that you actually mount the TV to move independent of each other and getting the TV to seat can be a challenge.

It will be difficult to install inside a cabinet with just 3 inches of clearance. The main problem , aside from mounting the TV is the wire connections which depending on the TV might prove impossible. I had a heck of a time setting it up on an open wall. I have a Sony TV and the connections were a real pain.

This mount is on my wall for a 65 " Samsung and it took two of us some time to set the TV even with all the sides open to work. This mount is very close to the wall. I wish I would have bought one that would release and swing out for access to plugs and jacks.

The bracket is flat for mounting to a flat panel TV. But, it comes with different lengths of screws and washers for different back-of-TV configurations. Depending on how curved the back of your TV is you may be able to make it work, but the manufacture may not recommend it.

I have one of these mounts on order for use with a 47" LG TV. The TV model is compatible with the mount but now I'm wondering if I messed up. With these low-profile mounts I'm wondering if it's always necessary to cut a hole in the wall and route the cables from the back of the TV that way (rather than just directly to other devices). It seems there is no clearance at all to the wall - maybe people use right-angle connectors? Thanks.

i really like this mount.i installed three of them.i did rub the wires through the wall, i think thats usually the point to wall mounting is to hide the wires and have a nice clean look.i have never had a problem conecting the wires. but those tv's also had cable hook ups on the side,there is usually enough room espeasially if u tilt it down a little witch u are probly planning on seeings how u bought a tilting mount.i would recomend holding the tv up on the wall were u want it and see where the wire plug ins are on your tv then run the wires acordingly through the walls.good luck

Most of the connectors come out the side of my TV and there are recessed plugs in the back. I have had to pull out on the bottom of the set so that it props up on the mounts included in the mounting package a few times to get my hands in there but I never needed to consider cutting holes in the wall.

I used my mount on a 65" Panasonic. I did have to use a recessed in-the-wall outlet for my electrical and cables which I ran down through the wall to my Blue ray and Receiver. There isn't enough clearance behind the mount to use even a 90 degree plug. If your TV has connectors on the side you may be able to run the cables straight down but they would be exposed.

Depending on the TV and where the connections are, you could definitely run into a problem with wires preventing the TV from setting flush. I ran the wires inside the wall and still found it difficult to attach HTMI cables. I would have done better to locate where the wires came out after I test fit the mount with the TV. It does work well, the TV has a low profile and all the wires are hidden but it's a gamble. The real problem is you need the mount to know if it will work. So save the packaging and make sure you can return it!

I had to use spacers on my 50' Samsung to allow clearance for the cables. I had to find bolts form a previously purchased mount, the ones that came with the mount were not sized right with the spacers. Sometimes a mount can be too close to the wall.
