Lighting fast with huge tech packed into a DX format

This camera is every thing I expected and more! The speed is the feature that every one talks about and it doesn't dissapoint. But there are so many other awesome features it is definetly not a one trick pony. The control layout is a dream ( once you get use to it) and adjustments on the fly are easy and prescise. Color rendintion is rich and full with a strong dynamic range. The real star feature of this camera is the auto iso setting coupled with the expeed 5 processing, resulting in perfect exposures consistantly time after time. I would highly recomend getting the kit over body only. The 16-80mm lens is not the "kit" lens your use too and is a great go to lens for everything from landscapes to portraits with tack sharp images and fairly low (easily correctable) distortion at the top and bottom. Overall this is the camera to grab if you have dx format lenses already or want the extra reach from your lenses.

Pros: Did i mention it's fast Auto iso and prcessing system performs spot on exposures Control layout makes for easy "no look" adjustments Kit includes the best DX lens money can buy Low light performance is great with a much higher usable iso range than any previos dx camera

Cons: Its not small Control panel can be overwhelming at first Burst speed can lead to a lot of repeat frames to sort though

I'm very happy to buying the Nikon D500. All the wonders of the camera, the high ISOs have impressed me a lot. (Me siento muy contento de haber comprado la Nikon D500. En todas las maravillas que tiene la cámara, los ISO altos me han impresionado mucho.)

Pros: High ISO, Up to 10 fps, Same battery Nikon D7000 (EN-EL15)

Cons: Battery Few shots

I've been a photographer since the 1990's, I purchased a D300s in 2010 and now my D500 in 2016. I was totally excited when the D500 was released, I finally deiced to pull the trigger shortly before Thanksgiving when I saw it on Crutchfield and it arrived the day before. The extras where a plus, or so I thought. for some reason they decided to include a camera bag that is barely fits the camera. Crutchfield is by in no means anything other than a great company to deal with, their customer support is second to none. When the package arrived 3 days later I went through the packing and everything was there as expected. The bag it came with barely fits the D500 w/16-80mm. I have no use for such a small bag. The other free items wer

Pros: High ISO Capability Kit lens is light and offers the wide angle I was looking for Frame rate 10 frame per second WIFI capability (Though I don't think I'll use it any time soon) Foldout screen is a nice touch

Cons: RAW files require Lightroom 6.5 or later to open/edit XQD could use some work Would be nice if it have the popup flash to control flashes externally like my D300s No screen protector

This may be the best camera I have ever owned. After I get used to the auto focus on this camera, I will know for sure.

Pros: Good Pictures, easy to use
