Impressive!

I'm impressed with the quality of this camera. My favorite feature is the snapbridge technology where the photos go straight to your phone or any other bluetooth/wifi device. Plus it takes video too! AND, love how Nikon offers online courses on how to use all the features the camera offers.

Pros: Stunning Photos, Videos, Snapbridge Technology

Cons:

Excellent step into the world of digital photogaphy

First SLR since the days of loading film, and for that alone I am already pleased. Chose the Nikon over the comparable Canon for the smaller size and especially the lighter weight. Have just finished a 10 day Europe trip and am still adjusting to all of the features. To the point, the picture quality is excellent. I chose the 18-140 mm lens also for the compact size and practical range of the lens without having to carry and change lenses. First impression is that they new technology - wi-fi and bluetooth take their toll on the battery life, but do not yet have a point of reference for this. The menu of options, programs, functions and settings is a bit overwhelming at first and not as intuitive as I think I was expecting, but this should improve with use/familiarity on my part. The Nikon SnapBridge image transfer via a smartphone app is a great feature. Looking forward to renewing my interest and amatuer skills with the camera.

Pros: Size and light weight. Extensive features to grow into. Excellent picture quality.

Cons: Fairly steep learning curve for the new technology features. Wi-fi and bluetooth technology seem to consume battery life (when left on even when the camera is off)

Nice camera

Just received the camera and don't know yet how it will preform ie. picture quality, ease of use and so forth. The body is a nice weight but the lens is heavier and understandably so. I do need to take a course to learn all the ins and outs of the camera. So far I believe it will fit my needs. I mainly wanted it for vacations and family pictures. You just can't go wrong with NIKON!

Wonderful camera. All I hoped it would be. Love the weight and the extra functionality after my D70, which I used for years.
