So far so good. Clarity is exceptional. Only issue - eyecup covers are way too loose to be of any protection. I would rather have tight fitting covers than easy off. Otherwise, like them. Can't wait to use them on the lake to check out the various duck and bird species.
Pros: Good clarity, easily and quickly adjustable for various focusing lengths.
Cons: eye cup protection covers, too loose to be of use.

My Nikon Monarch 5 binoculars
Nikon Monarch 5 model 7578 from La Canada, CA on 3/17/2014
I have not really used it yet, but it looks and feels good so far. I am taking it on a safari with me this summer. I like the fact that it is not too big or too heavy. The one I have is a 12x42 which is supposed to be more powerful than the 8x42 which my husband has and likes very much.
Pros: Light and compact
Cons: Don't know yet
