A needed accessory for the d750, a must if you shoot in portrait alot and it helps to balance the camera with big lenses.

Pros: must have for portraits

Cons: little pricey

I like to use it so that I can keep the tripod mount on and insert and remove the battery from the side without needing to remove the tripod mount.

Pros: Grip vertically and battery inserts to the side.

Great power extender and grip for hand held portraits

George G. from Canonsburg, PA on 6/14/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I received this with the D750 during one of Nikon's sales. It has the same quality build as the D750 and really makes hand holding the camera easier when shooting in portrait. Also since it takes AA batteries in addition to the standard Nikon battery, this is great for those times you have drained your batteries and there is no where to recharge them.

Pros: Quality build Takes AA batteries

Cons: Expensive

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great addition to the Nikon D750. It helps when taking photos vertical so you can have a normal grip on the camera instead of your arm laying on top of the camera. It also can give you extended battery life before you have to charge the regular camera battery. It runs on a camera battery or 6 AA batteries and even the rechargeable ones. The variety should get you through any situation anywhere. This was offered free in a limited time offer with the camera helping make it a great deal.

Changes the D750 completely

kelejen from Pennsylvania on 3/28/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Is this grip over-priced? Yes. But it is definitely better quality than the knock off grips you could buy. I tried using my D750 with the 70-200 f/2.8 mounted and it was almost unbearable, it felt like an ergonomics nightmare. With this grip, it helps give it a nice balance and provides a nice place to place your palm while supporting the big heavy lenses. It feels very solid when mounted on the camera, and I really like that you can easily take it on and off without having to remove the camera battery door like the Canon system. Buttons/wheels/shutter all feel very sturdy, very similar to the ones on the actual camera. I gave it 4 stars only because of the high price. Hopefully in the future when there isn't such a stock shortage, the price will drop.

Pros: Quality, durability, function

Cons: Price

Fits like a glove

Coda Photography from Pittsburgh, PA on 3/25/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After looking for this grip for three weeks, I finally located it in-stock here at Crutchfield. It really adds heft to the extremely light D750. The camera now has a nice balance in the hands when using larger lenses such as the 24-7- and 70-200. The controls are in nearly the same location as the ones on the camera when shooting vertically, and the grip is nice and deep.

Cons: Expensive... But when you want the best, you pay for it.

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

to allow for many more shots and to help grip the camera for extended jobs and handling [ TJ  Feb 04, 2019 ]
Heard that by adding this piece, you really get a much better grip on the camera when using a heavy lens. Plus it not only looks cool, but gives you the ability to double up on battery power. [ LANCE  Jul 02, 2016 ]
