Features

Dual Moving Magnet Mono Phono Cartridge: The VM750SH Shibata stylus cartridge is a premier 700 Series model in Audio-Technica's new VM cartridge line. Like all VM cartridges, the VM750SH is equipped with dual magnets that are positioned to match the left and right channels in the stereo record groove for outstanding channel separation and extended frequency response. The cartridge's Shibata stylus provides greater surface contact with the record groove than an elliptical stylus does, resulting in the pickup of ultra-high frequencies with less groove stress and distortion. Includes mounting hardware.

  • VM dual magnet cartridge with Shibata stylus
  • Aluminum tapered cantilever
  • Paratoroidal coils improve generating efficiency
  • Center shield plate between the left and right channels reduces crosstalk
  • Die-cast aluminum alloy housing reduces vibration and adds a natural electrical shield

Note: This cartridge is designed to fit turntables that feature a standard 1/2" mount. It is not compatible with P-Mount style turntables.

Q
Will this cartridge fit the headshell that comes with the LP-7 turntable?
bill  Sep 16, 2019

A
Yes. If this is you're first TT and you are not sure if you can mount it, get someone to do it for you. Make sure you get the overhang correct and the VTA. I also have this cart. on a new SL 1200. it sounds great. I have a Nagaoka MP-300 on a Pioneer PLX 1000. can't tell which one I like better. You should'nt listen criticly for about 30 to 40 Hrs. Give it time to break in.

Q
How would this cartridge compare to my vintage AT Signet TK7SU cartridge?
stephen  Jul 15, 2018
1 answer
A
Well I do not know what the Signet sounded like. All I can tell you is its sounds better than my AT 440mla or my denon dl110. Its very smooth at all freqs. It picks out every detail. In a good system its very reveling. On my pioneer plx 1000 I find it sounds better tracking at 1.9 weight.
