2-Speed Belt Drive Turntable: The TEAC TN-280BT-A3 is a manual belt-drive turntable that is powered by a high torque DC motor, while a precision stainless steel spindle and durable brass spindle holder maintain accurate rotation speed. The turntable supports 33-1/3 RPM and 45 RPM (adapter included) speeds.
High-Density MDF Plinth & Aluminum Platter: Crafted from high-density MDF, the plinth (base) of the TN-280BT-A3 has been designed to minimize unwanted vibration and resonance. Also included is a 12" (30cm) high inertia aluminum die-cast platter and soft felt mat that further reduces vibration effectively. Together, the high-density MDF plinth, die-cast aluminum platter and felt mat minimize vibrations and resonance for clearer sound when you playback your vinyl collection.
Audio-Technica AT3600L Cartridge: An Audio-Technica AT3600L MM (moving magnet) cartridge and headshell is included. It will need to be installed to the turntable's 8.8125" (223mm) straight, static-balanced tonearm at the factory. The AT3600L delivers premium audio quality and lets you enjoy every sonic detail of your favorite vinyl records. The TN-280BT-A3's counterweight & anti-skating mechanism ensure accurate tracking.
Switchable Phono MM Preamp: The TEAC TN-280BT-A3 features a built-in Phono MM preamp that allows you to connect the turntable to a line-level or Phono MM input of your AV receiver, integrated amplifier, or powered speakers. Turn the built-in Phono preamp "On" to connect the turntable to a line-level input of your receiver or amplifier. Turn the built-in Phono preamp "Thru" to connect the turntable to a Phono input of your receiver or amplifier.
Stereo RCA Outputs: The TEAC TN-280BT-A3 turntable is outfitted with a set of stereo RCA outputs to connect to your AV receiver, integrated amplifier, or powered speakers.
Bluetooth Transmitter: In addition to Phono or Line connectivity, the TN-280BT-A3 is able to deliver sound wirelessly via its built-in Bluetooth transmitter (version 4.0) to a Bluetooth-enabled AV receiver, powered speaker, or set of headphones (all sold separately). The pairing button is located just below the plinth on the right hand side (see Owner's Manaul) and illuminates when your Bluetooth-enabled receiver, speaker, or headphones is successfully connected. The turntable has a wireless range of approximately 30'.
Note: Only one Bluetooth-enabled receiver, speaker, or set of headphones can be paired, connected, and used for playback at a time.
Dust Cover: The TEAC TN-280BT-A3 comes with a detachable, hinged dust cover to protect the turntable and your vinyl records from dust and debris.

I love the versatility of this turntable. I can have a traditional wired connection to my speakers but I also have the option for Bluetooth. I have an Earstudio Headphone Amp for my Focal cans and love having the Bluetooth option. I am very happy with the quality and the sound of this unit.
