Features

2-Speed, Belt-Drive Turntable: The TEAC TN-280BT turntable's high-inertia Aluminum die-cast platter is driven by a high torque DC motor for stable rotation for both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm speeds. A soft felt mat further reduces vibration effectively. The high accuracy of the spindle is maintained by a polished Stainless steel Spindle and highly durable bronze spindle holder. The belt-drive motor on the TN-280BT reduces vibration for sweeter and more accurate sound, while the aluminum die-cast platter and anti-skating system provide a solid foundation for great-sounding playback.

Static-Balanced Straight Tone-Arm w/ High Performance MM Cartridge: The TEAC TN-280BT employs a straight tone-arm for high tracking accuracy. The anti-skating mechanism also ensures accurate tracking of vinyl records. With a reputation for highly accurate reading and incredible sound reproduction the TN-280BT comes complete with a AT95E VM-type MM cartridge (you will need to install the cartridge to the tonearm). This high-performance, upgradeable MM cartridge captures every detail on your record, while the static-balanced straight tone-arm ensures clear sound.

High-Density MDF: Crafted from high-density MDF, the cabinet of the TN-280BT has been designed to minimize unwanted vibration and resonance. turntable's heavy MDF cabinet minimizes vibrations and resonance for clearer sound when you playback your vinyl collection.

Built-in MM Phono EQ w/ RCA Outputs: Thanks to its built-in MM Phono equalizer amplifier, the TN-280BT supports Phono or Line output which allows you to playback your vinyl collection on a stereo that is or isn't equipped with a Phono input (there is a switch on the back to select Phono or Line). A pair of gold-plated RCA output jacks are use for reliable, durable connection to your receiver's Line Level or Phono input. Gold-plated terminals on the headshell connectors prevent oxidation of the head shell connectors and help to ensure years of reliable performance and to deliver stunning audio fidelity.

Built-in Bluetooth Transmitter: In addition to Phono or Line connectivity, the TN-280BT is able to deliver sound wirelessly via its built-in Bluetooth transmitter. The pairing button is located at the right-front side of the cabinet, and a pairing LED indicator tells you when your Bluetooth-enabled speakers or headphones are successfully connected.

Dust Cover: The TEAC TN-280BT turntable comes with a detachable, hinged dust cover.

Q
Will this pair with a Denon DNP-720AE?
[ Anthony  May 12, 2020 ]
7 answers
A
I'm sorry I do not know if it will pair to the said device. I have ours direct connected to our family room sound system.
[ Jarrett  Jun 03, 2020 ]
A
Not positive, but unless the Denon DNP-720AE has Bluetooth capability, I don't think so. The TEAC connects by pairing with Bluetooth or by cable.
[ Stephen  Jun 02, 2020 ]
A
I paired it up to a teac Bluetooth turntable without issue. Speakers also have rca inputs also of needed.
[ JAMES  Jun 02, 2020 ]
A
The Denon DNP-720AE is a network music streamer that must be connected to a receiver, powered speakers, etc... You will need to check the receiver, powered speakers, etc... to see if it has another analog audio input. We have advisors that you can reach by calling 1-800-324-9695 who will be happy to discuss your gear to help determine if this turntable can work with it.
[ Paul  Jun 02, 2020 ]  Staff
A
Unfortunately, no. A turntable requires an RCA phono input to connect, and the DNP-729AE does not have any RCA inputs, as far as I can tell.
[ Gerald  Jun 02, 2020 ]
A
If it has Bluetooth capabilities, it will pair with it, and is also Able to be directly connected. I know it says that in the description but that's the best i can answer the question
[ Jacob  Jun 02, 2020 ]
A
Hi sorry I don't know. We do love it though!
[ DANIELLE  Jun 02, 2020 ]
Q
is that a wood base?
[ David  Apr 30, 2020 ]
2 answers
A
It is NOT a wood base. It is a printed wood laminate, but it looks fairly convincing. We were a little disappointed in this part of it.
[ Lauren  May 14, 2020 ]
A
Hello yes it is wood base but sits on "feet" that are not wood. We love it!
[ DANIELLE  Apr 30, 2020 ]
Q
the tonearm is metal ?
[ Eugenio  Apr 13, 2020 ]
2 answers
A
It feels like a composite. It is a great turntable either way.
[ Ed  Apr 21, 2020 ]
A
It appears to be metal.
[ Gerald  Apr 20, 2020 ]
Q
Can you provide the dimensions?
[ lisa  Sep 02, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
The Teac TN-280BT is 16.5" wide, 5.5" tall (with dust cover closed) and 13.5" deep. Keep in mind that the power button and the audio cables (if you choose to use them) are located on the back so you'll need an inch or two extra in depth to access them. Great turntable for the money if it fits your space!
[ Dean  Sep 12, 2019 ]
Q
Can I connect the phono/line out to an Aux In on a Bose soundwave if i didn't want to stream vinyl via bluetooth?
[ Shane  Jun 20, 2019 ]

Q
Could this Bluetooth turntable be used with only a power line in and transmit to Bluetooth wireless speakers that are plugged into an ac outlet ? No receiver or external amplifier ?
[ Robert  Jan 15, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
Absolutely. In addition to the Phono or Line output connectivity, the TN-280BT is able to deliver sound wirelessly via its built-in Bluetooth transmitter. The pairing button is located at the right-front side of the cabinet, and a pairing LED indicator tells you when your Bluetooth-enabled speakers or headphones are successfully connected.
