I love it! It's classy with modern features and it looks awesome in my Olds. Only problem was that it was a little tricky to install despite having been told it would be a perfect fit. I worked it out though and it was worth it!

1991 Pontiac Firebird
I was looking for an "original" look with tech upgrades for my 91 Pontiac Formula. I matched this unit with two pair of Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers and it sounds great! Installation was not difficult, although you do have to assemble the unit. It's pricey, but restoring my factory unit would have cost more, so I am very pleased.
Pros: Looks factory original Tech upgrades
Cons: Price

I love this radio. The interface is relatively straightforward. Easy to assemble, and with the wiring harness and installation brackets it was easier to put in. I can't wait to replace my blown speakers and start cranking it up. I recently switched to a pre 2000's car and I am so happy I can now Bluetooth my music through my truck.

Do not buy!!!
Lucas from Secaucus, NJ on 8/2/2021
1983 Dodge D Series
Make sure you check your factory dash opening!! Both this site and RetroSounds website list this as fitting an 83 Dodge D150 (which shares the same dash as many other years) But the radio is too large for the factory opening on the truck. It has a raised section where the 1-5 buttons and display are located. This raised section alone is too wide for the opening and will cause the dash to not fit flush. Even if that portion were flat the text on the top knob would be hidden under the dash and even using the knob might interfere with the dash. These wouldn't be huge issues if I didn't care about having a clean look and just cut the dash a little bit, but if I didn't care about the look I wouldn't be buying an overpriced retro looking radio in the first place! I also discussed this with the RetroSound customer support and they couldn't even find my truck listed on their own website (its on there), so I assume that nobody at this company even test fitted this radio in my year truck despite listing it specifically as compatible. Bad product and bad customer service!!! Crutchfield did give me a refund, so they're great.
Pros: Full refund
Cons: Wont fit

1990 GMC Suburban
Installed in a 1990 Suburban. The engineers considered every detail to make installation easy and painless. It fits the aesthetic perfectly and has a lot of terrific features.
Pros: Ease of installation, aesthetic, sound quality
Cons: Needs a how-to pamphlet for settings (it's on their website maybe?)

The radio itself is good, the instructions are poor and not specific to the radio but a generic for all their radios. There is NO owners manual included because they don't have one. You have to use a generic one that is only available in a PDF version. With all this I still like the radio. The only problem is that the external microphone gain is so weak that people can't hear me. This is in an older Corvette so the distance to the Microphone isn't an issue. I contacted Crutchfield and they are sending me a new replacement microphone. This is why you buy from them, they will fix any problems.
Pros: Looks nice an fits in with the 84 Vette well
Cons: External microphone not sensitive enough

Pretty easy to put together and install. Instruction book was a little confusing as it's a generic Retrosound one not specific to this radio face. Didn't fit perfectly in my truck but made it work.

Looks/works great! Lights a little too bright
Crutchfield customer from Renton, WA on 9/17/2020
1988 Pontiac Fiero
Looks fantastic and has a ton of options to customize just how you like it. Really appreciate the fact that I was able to adjust the color to match my dash lights. Everything seems to be working fantastically, including the Bluetooth, which connects almost instantaneously. Only drawback is the lights around the knobs and buttons is WAY too bright, and dimming the display doesn't seem to change that. Not sure yet how that will be when driving at night. One other negative; the instructions were completely useless. :(
Pros: Looks, features, cost
Cons: Lights around knobs/buttons too bright, even at dimmest setting. Instructions were useless.

1985 Monte Carlo upgrade
Crutchfield customer from Lothian, MD on 6/20/2020
Very happy with the fit and look for my '85 Monte Carlo SS. Does require cutting of original trim panel to fit around, but expected that. LIke the functionality of it. Only criticism is there is not a dedicated sub output on it. Easy workaround with the RCA line outs and the direct wire speaker out puts. Definite recommend buy.
Pros: Great fit for 1.5 DIN of older GM
Cons: No factory sub output connections.

Absurdly overpriced, has issues expected from a $30 stereo
Victor from INMAN, SC on 6/13/2020
1978 Chrysler Cordoba
The gist of what I'm going to write here is basically that this stereo is way overpriced. By function alone, this stereo is on par in features with radios costing 150 dollars or less. But this radio costs almost twice that simply because it looks like a classic radio, and RetroSound knows they have a monopoly on that market. It gets worse than the basic markup though. This radio is shipped to you essentially in pieces. The faceplate, body, and knob shafts are all separate and have to be assembled together. The faceplate and the body each come with their own instruction manuals and are not identical. The main instruction manual is also completely generic to all of RetroSound's radios and therefore skips a lot of specific differences between their models. There are also tons of extra parts included that are not mentioned in any of the instruction manuals and seemingly have no purpose. I have a small pile of studs, screws, nuts, washers, and spacers on my desk still that don't obviously go anywhere on the stereo. The worst part is the installation kit you have to order with this stereo. It didn't even come close to fitting in my car and required extensive modification to mount the radio in place. I practically had made my own brackets by the time I was done, and if Crutchfield hadn't included that kit for free I would have been furious about paying extra money for it. The radio itself works fine, nothing special to talk about there. Realistically this radio is worth ~$100.
Pros: Does have bluetooth and a vintage style
Cons: Poor quality instructions, bad mounting brackets, tons of extra parts, ridiculously overpriced
