RetroSound PA-02 Power Antenna

Great unit. I put this in a pontoon boat. It did require modification to the antenna mount (this is designed for automotive applications - a metal fender is a lot thinner than fiberglass). That being said it works very well, relatively quiet operation and smooth extension/retraction. You should install the unit before powering it up ( an extra pair of hands really help with the installation). If not, and you try to extend the antenna, it will extend past the mounting base and spit the cogged drive strip out of the unit. If that happens you will more than likely have to disassemble the unit to re-thread the drive strip back into the motor drive.

Pros: Great power antenna. Flexible mounting options. Nice smooth operation.

Cons: Installation can be a little tricky. An extra set of hands really helps.

Installed this in my 1991 Camaro. A standard power antenna won't fit. Very happy with it, works and looks good.

Pros: Easy install. All nessary hardware is included.

Cons: A little long for my application but fit into the wheel well ok.

Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
A
For a tight space, it is easier to fit and install, and it has a better mast height than some of its competition. [ Michael  Sep 15, 2017 ]

We don't have any research information on the antenna in that car. However, I was able to check RetroSound's site and they have researched the car and show this antenna works in it! My Bio: https://www.crutchfield.com/bio/Paul

I used it on a 1994 fleet-wood Brougham so I believe so. It does a fair job but not as good as the original equipment.

The standard Motorola male connection that's accepted by the vast majority of aftermarket car stereos. I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5
