About the RetroSound R-69N

One classic speaker

One classic speaker
RetroSound makes it easy to replace the factory speakers in almost any classic, vintage, or even new car. Their RetroMod Series speakers feature extremely shallow chrome baskets designed to fit into a wide variety of standard speaker locations. They may look old school, but RetroSound builds their speakers from the ground up, using the latest techniques and materials.
The single R-69N 6"x9" speaker is designed for a classic car with only one speaker opening on its dash or rear deck. The woofer features dual voice coils, each one connected to its own tweeter. Your stereo receiver connects to both voice coils, so you get a stereo mix from a single speaker. In effect, you get two 2-way speakers in one frame, for modern sound in your vintage application.
The R-69N speaker features a powerful neodymium magnet and a low-carbon steel chrome frame that form a strong foundation. The sturdy pulp composite woofer with its Santoprene surround delivers powerful performance while standing up to heat and humidity. The two Mylar dome tweeters broadcast detailed highs without sounding shrill, and their low profile helps increase installation options.
Although efficient enough to play well with any receiver alone, this RetroMod speaker can handle the high power from aftermarket amplifiers. Replace that wornout old 6"x9" with this updated RetroSound, and your tunes will sound new again, just like your classic ride.
Important Note: This is a single 6"x9" speaker, so you'll need to purchase a pair for vehicles with two 6"x9" openings.
Grill not included; the factory grill should be suitable for most applications.

Features
Woofer: The speaker features a rigid pulp composite cone woofer with a Santoprene surround. The woofer uses a Neodymium magnet to achieve its shallow depth, so it fits in tight factory locations.
Tweeters: Two Mylar tweeters are wired separately so this single speaker will accept a stereo input.
Dual Voice Coils: The woofer has dual voice coils, each wired with one of the tweeters. The stereo input is useful in many older cars with a single speaker location in the dash or rear deck. If used in a standard two speaker application the inputs should be wired in parallel (to present a 2Ω load) or series (to present an 8Ω load).
