Product Research

Backup Camera: The Axxera ARC600 rear-view camera can be installed on a variety of vehicles with an in-dash aftermarket video monitor. Your aftermarket in-dash monitor must feature a composite video camera input. The camera allows you to view what's behind your vehicle on your in-dash monitor's screen when you put your vehicle in reverse.

Note: This rear-view camera is meant as a back-up aid only; never solely rely on the rear-view camera when backing-up. In addition to using the rear-view camera, always look behind you to make sure everything is clear when backing up your vehicle.

CMOS Image Sensor w/ Auto Iris: The Axxera ARC600 rear-view camera employs a 1/3.7" CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 682 x 496 (338,272 total pixels) for a clear picture image. The image sensor also incorporates an electronic Auto Iris (1/60,1/50 - 1/100,000) and provides low-light visibility down to 0.1 lux for excellent visibility day or night.

Wide Viewing Angle Lens: The Axxera ARC600 rear-view camera features a F=1.9 lens with a 163-degree wide viewing angle to help you see better behind your vehicle.

Parking Guidelines: The rear-view camera provides parking guidelines on the screen of your vehicle's in-dash monitor to help you back into a parking space.

Rugged Housing: The Axxera ARC600 utilizes a durable zinc die-cast housing with a nickel-plated back casing that block protects the rear-view camera from moisture.

Mounting Options: The rear-view camera must be mounted to the underside of a flat surface of your vehicle, such as the lip around your vehicle's rear license plate on the trunk, hatch, tail-gate, or cargo area. The camera requires a circular 10mm cutout and is secured in placed with the included locking-nut. The camera will need to be mounted with the lens facing downward on the rear of your vehicle for the correct video orientation to be displayed on your connected monitor (otherwise, the video will be upside down). Once the rear-view camera is mounted, it is not adjustable.

  • Camera Dimensions: 1.0625" (w) x 0.8125" (h) x 1.3125" (d)
  • Cutout Dimensions: 10mm (diameter)

Connections: The rear-view camera features an attached 3' power/signal cable, plus comes with a 24' video cable and 5' power/ground cable (total length of video and power cable is 27'). At the end of the video cable is a male RCA composite video connector which plugs into the composite video camera input of your head unit. The power (red) & ground (black) wires will need to be hardwired. Power can be obtained from your vehicle's reverse light circuit or from the reverse gear wire of your aftermarket stereo (if applicable). The ground will need to connected to your vehicle's metal chassis.

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

I'm not sure it works great with a pioneer aftermarket screen.

I have this camera installed. I was unable to find any way to disable the parking lines. The camera documentation doesn't indicate how.
[ Chris  May 11, 2019 ]
This item has not been installed yet but that was something I researched before I made this purchase. The camera company says you can have it with the guidelines or without. Hope they are right...
