Screen has some glare but sounds so much better than stock radio and all Apple CarPlay works with not much lag. Probably not the best radio but can't beat at this price point. 2010 Colorado

Nice and inexpensive option to replace the factory radio in my 2010 Jeep Wrangler. Install was a breeze with Clutchfield's install package.

Not bad

Although purchased elsewhere, I figured I'd review on here. I'd say the main reason for 3 stars is that the unit constantly disconnects from my iphone 12pro, using usb carplay. I contacted DUAL and they said its apples fault, and not theirs. The issue with that is that carplay and my phone work perfectly on other car stereos, so its isolated to this unit.(I've also tried multiple cables) Its still a great price, and relatively user friendly.
Pros: Price, UI, expandability, and size.
Cons: Carplay disconnects and slight delay in button reactions.

Solid But Flawed Entry Level Unit

I wanted to give this 5 stars, but after using it a few days, around 3.5 to 3.7 is about right, so I rounded up to 4. The full CarPlay functionality is there, along with a nice 8-band EQ. With minimal other controls, setup is easy. Good, clean sound with nice lows and highs. It won't play super-loud w/o external amps but what's there is very good (playing thru Kicker 6.5" co-ax front and cheap Pioneer 6x9 co-ax rear in 2001 Camry). Easy install with factory DIN brackets (I wish all cars had DIN radios). But there is a significant trade-off: the display has low res/low contrast that can't be adjusted. Worse yet is the amount of glare! (see pics) Had a 2015 Kenwood touchscreen radio in this car prior and never had this issue. Also, there is no voice command function outside of CarPlay, which we use 98% of the time, so no big deal for us. Picking nits, the 8-band EQ has odd center frequencies (50/200/400Hz etc); a 9-band would have been much better. The manual is very light on details with no details for setting up the phase delay feature (which was unexpected at this price). No detail on parking brake wire connection either, but Crutchfield tech support can help there, or you can buy a MicroBypass device elsewhere (check local laws). Verdict? If this is for a second/teen car or you simply cannot afford any more, it's a solid unit. If you own a convertible and/or video is important, then save up and get the $300 Alpine iLX-W650 (which I have in my main car) instea
Pros: Fast touch response, full CarPlay functionality at an affordable price, very good & clean sound quality, easy install.
Cons: Low-resolution, low-contrast display that is prone to glare; No voice command function in wireless Bluetooth (non-CarPlay mode); Very little detail provided in instruction manual.

2009 Honda Civic EX
This product is a very simple and cost effective way to add apple carplay or android auto to your vehicle. It is a very simple user interface however not as powerful as other head units in the $300 range. My oem 2009 Civic Ex radio (not premium) could throw out better highs to the rockford fosgate 3 ways I have on the front doors however I believe the Dual's range in audio tuning through the equalizer is better than stock. Not much I can complain about and the revised SWC retention is way cheaper than what used to be offered. If you have the money, go with something along the lines of the Sony head units but if you are just looking for something in a pinch, this works as well. I am going to get a wireless apple carplay dongle which I recommend anyone who's planning on getting to go get as it will make the apple carplay experience that much better
Pros: Simple UI Apple Carplay
Cons: No volume knob Generic look, essentially same as the jensen unit with different UI design
