    Q
Is there a remote available other than a steering wheel remote for rv installation?
    tim  Mar 09, 2024
    1 answer
    A
There are no additional remotes available other than the included remote, Tim. You can use the remote without mounting on the steering wheel with the included bracket if you plan to use in your RV. You could also consider the Pioneer AVH-3500NEX below that also comes with included remote. If you want a single DIN chassis with a flip-out screen, the Pioneer is one of our few options with those features. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130AV3500/Pioneer-AVH-3500NEX.html

    Q
Will this fit a 2016 Thor hurricane 35c?
    robyn  Mar 03, 2024
    1 answer
    A
We do not have RV's classified in our online database Robyn, so we treat them essentially as a custom install. Snap a few photos of your existing RV's radio to share with us and give us a call at 1-800-324-9695 and a live advisor would be happy to help determine if the Dual XDVD176BT is a good choice for your radio upgrade!

    Q
Is the Dual XDVD176Bt Satellite ready?
    john  Oct 22, 2023
    1 answer
    A
This Dual XDVD176BT is not "XM Ready", John. You can use the XM app through Bluetooth with this unit, but it does not have the port required to plug in to the Sirius SXV300 tuner to make your XM built in. If you need a flip-out DVD unit in a single DIN chassis, we do have the Pioneer AVH-3500NEX DVD in the link below that can be used with the Sirius SXV300 tuner (sold separately). https://www.crutchfield.com/p_130AV3500/Pioneer-AVH-3500NEX.html

    Q
I have a Dual XDM290BT. Does this XDVD176BT use the same plug or do I have to rewire? Thanks
    dave  Oct 06, 2023
    1 answer
    A
    The XDVD176BT uses a 20-pin harness whereas the XDM290BT uses a 16-pin harness.
    zachary  Oct 06, 2023 (Staff)
    Q
I want to install this in an RV trailer. Obviously it does not have an ignition wire or a parking brake. Can the unit be turned off manually? Can I power or ground the parking brake wire? The RV has a powered antenna amp. Any wire for that?
    john  Aug 06, 2023
    1 answer
    A
It does have a Power On/Off button for that control. This radio also has a power antenna wire that can be used to turn on an antenna amp. We do not support connecting the parking brake wire on radios like this to anything other than a true parking brake wire and recommend contacting Dual's support using 855-936-0129 to check what they recommend.

    Q
I have 10 inch subs. How can i hook them up the this radio?
    jaleel  Jul 08, 2023
    1 answer
    A
An amplifier is needed to power the 10 inch subs. Once you have the best matching amp for the subs, that amp will connect to the subwoofer preamp outputs on this radio. We have advisors here that can be reached by calling 1-800-324-9695 who will discuss your subs and goals to give you a personal recommendation on the amp and wiring needed to make it all work.

Does the Dual XDVD179BT show the name and artist a radio station is playing? If so how do I access this feature
    carmel  Aug 04, 2022

Unfortunately this radio does not show the song or artist when listening to AM/FM stations. When using Bluetooth, CD, or USB this unit will automatically display song/artist information on its touchscreen monitor (no album art).

I really don't know. They are listed in the specs of the receiver on the Crutchfield. If you are putting it in a N NB Miata, I would guess it will fit in all NBs 01-05.

The Dual XDVD176BT DVD Receiver is not an easy fit for your van. You'd want to stick with an double DIN or a single DIN with the option for an ISO mount. This model is rated for 16 watts RMS CTA-2006/50 peak x 4 channels.

Wow. I sure can't answer that one Henry. Mine powers up accessory or ignition normally as it should. From 5,000 ft, my best guess would be the power source from the truck. A basic ohmeter could help diag power issues. Good luck

Our vehicle fit guide should help check if it can be installed into a vehicle: https://www.crutchfield.com/car/carselector.aspx If this is a custom install, I recommend contacting an advisor using 1-800-324-9695 to discuss just how it will be mounted to get the proper dimensions.

Greetings- I don't believe this unit has the mirror capability, and I haven't done much modifying past the usual equalizer and facer settings. However, I am certainly impressed with the overall unit. The display is not fliimsy at all, touchscreen is responsive, tunes sound good. I replaced the OEM speakers with Sony 3way front and Kenwood 2way rear. Very pleased with the entire package, good bang for the buck. Instructions and wiring harnesses were great. Two thumbs up at least for the capabilities that I've used.

Installing today in 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad cab. Question regarding the parking brake wire requirement: This is required to enter any menus? I don't understand why this wire should be needed. Might need some guidance finding the parking brake wire. Side note: Installed Sony 3 way (front) and Kenwood 2 way (rear) speakers yesterday replacing 20 yr OEM speakers.
