I was so looking forward to replacing my existing unit with this one. It's very attractive to look at, but that is where its good qualities end. First, it's the least responsive touch screen I've ever encountered. Sometimes I feel like I'm trying to poke a hole in the thing just to get anywhere. Second, the USB input does not recognize my USB drive that I spent two hours loading with music. I didn't intend to use my iPod Classic with it, but I tried, and it doesn't read that, either. So my next idea was to try a CD-R with mp3 files, and yes, the unit would read it, but the playback was awful. Nothing but "skipping." Last resort, I used a Micro SD card. It works. The radio is extremely difficult to tune, and the reception was terrible. We have some strong-signal FM stations around here, but the reception was awful. I was literally driving TOWARD the location of a particular local station's tower, and the reception got WORSE. The only thing keeping me from sending this thing back is the fact that I don't want to bug my good buddy who graciously installed it for me free of charge. This thing is garbage.

Pros: It looks good in the dash.

Cons: Worst performance of any radio I have ever had.

I was unable to install this unit into my vehicle due to the complexity of disconnecting over a dozen wiring harnesses in the vehicles dashboard. Had I proceeded the reconnecting would have been extremely difficult due to the incredibly small area to work in to reconnect the multiple harnesses. Had Crutchfield provided the instructions to preview before purchasing I would have never made the purchase. Also keep in mind, if you opt to go with Crutchfield's Ready Harness service that cost us nonrefundable. Again, had I been aware of that I would not have selected that option since twisting a few wires together is not a difficult task. The customer is also responsible for return shipping so in total I'm out $35 on this order. I won't make another purchase through Crutchfield unless I am able to preview the installation instructions beforehand.

    Pros:

    Cons:

    Crutchfield response on 4/23/2019

You get what you pay for...This is a very cheap head unit. The screen does not look like the photo. For context, I got this for a 2003 corolla with 250000 miles on it. I went into this purchase knowing that, for the price, it wasn't going to be an awesome double din. That being said I am a little disappointed in some of the simple features that should function correctly no matter the price point. The radio works great, but songs played on the micro SD "skip" like an old CD player. I'm not even sure how that would happen but it does. The touch screen is not accurate. I can press the location I want and activate a function an inch away. Its so off I have completely stopped using the touch screen now and only use the remote or real buttons. Only other complaint is the volume. From volume 7 to 8 the sound output seems to double, so you are either jamming out or can barely hear the music. If I had purchased a top of the line unit I would have given it 1 star and returned it, but I had very low expectations going into the purchase so to be fair I'd say it functions almost as I expected it to (hence the 3 stars.) I have not tried any other functions.

Everything on this worked as described and even has a bluetooth feature. There is no mic to make calls though. I soldered my harness connections and was getting poor sound quality, light crackly static through speakers at all volume levels. This unit looks great on paper but theres a reason the price is so low. There is no dimmer function. Does not display the time except the main screen. The display has too much going on when playing music from cds or from memory card and theres no way to simplify it. I wanted to like this unit and had it installed for a week. Just removed it and will be contacting crutchfield for refund/exchange.

Pros: -Plays DVDs -Multiple inputs -Bluetooth

Cons: -Does not display time -Too much going on the display and cannot refine -Poor sound quality

    Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Received unit promptly and installed it without hassle into my 2003 civic. With the included free custom fit dash kit and harness, it fit perfectly. Before powering it on I was ready to give it 6 out of 5 stars (if I could have) for looks alone. Not long after powering it on did I start to see the reasons for the price of this unit. Overall i'm pleased with the purchase, even with all the cons, it's done it's job at playing music and dvds while powering 4 MTX terminator front speakers and my amp/sub without issue at a price that many can afford.

Pros: Pros: -Looks Amazing -pretty decent dvd playback and picture settings -tons of inputs and outputs -can crank it up most of the way without much distortion -the price

Cons: Cons: -Worlds cheapest remote broke on first use (still kinda useable though, but still) -audio settings are pretty much garbage, 2 band eq with only bass and treble settings -touch screen is about as responsive as a $20 tablet -everything feels so slow, volume adjustment, changing inputs (especially loading from micro SD) -to view the clock you must back out to Main screen which stops audio on everything except broadcast radio -wont play video files from micro SD or USB, only

This radio actually surprised me. Only thing it is missing I wish it had is Bluetooth. Do yourself a favor pay the extra $$ for have them put the wiring harnesses together. Makes life so much more simple. Oh and one more thing. Attaching the break wire on the radio to the ground and dvd can be played all the time.

Pros: Simple and easy to hookup and the price.

Cons: Wish it had more functions to finely tune speakers such as crossover functionality.

This stereo DVD player works great and does what it is supposed to do. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it definitely lacks some of the features of more expensive units. Overall it is definitely a good value for the price, and I am happy with it.

Great price, the stereo seems pretty amazing so far and I'm really enjoying it.

Pros: Great price (for a reason). really nice features of a more expensive unit.

Cons: Don't believe Crutchfield when they say it will install with their selected dash kit, mine wouldn't install with what I purchased from them. I ended up paying for a cluster panel dash kit (that was Required) to make this stereo fit.

    Audio & Tuner Section

CTA-2006 Compliant: The power specifications for the XDVD210 are compliant with the CTA-2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers. The power output specs for the XDVD210 are as follows:

    • CTA-2006 Specs: 14 watts x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 watts total)

2V/5Ch RCA Outputs: The XDVD210 features front, rear and mono-subwoofer 2-volt RCA outputs. The front and rear stereo RCA outputs are balance and fade adjustable. The mono-subwoofer RCA output is non-fading.

EQ Presets: The XDVD210 is equipped with a built-in EQ. The integrated equalizer offers 5 preset sound modes (Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classic, or Off) suitable for the music genre of your choice. In Off mode, you can manually adjust the head unit's Bass & Treble from -7 to +7.

Loudness: The Loudness feature compensates for deficiencies in the low and high sound ranges at low volume. This feature can be turned on or off.

Key Beep: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation (this can be turned On or Off).

AM/FM Tuner: The Dual XDVD210 features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, & preset tuning. The built-in AM/FM tuner allows you to store up to 18 FM station presets and 12 AM station presets (for a total of 30 presets). You can tune your presets manually or have the head unit do it automatically. The Local function allows only strong radio stations to be received, blocking stations with weaker signals. You can switch the tuner between USA or European tuning.

    AV Connectivity

Dual AV Inputs: The Dual XDVD210 DVD receiver is fitted with two AV inputs. There is a front-panel 3.5mm AV input for connecting a temporary external portable audio/video player. There is also a rear-panel AV auxiliary input which consists of a composite video jack and stereo RCA jacks. The AV aux input can be used for connection of a permanent external audio/video source, such as a Blu-ray player or TV tuner.

Dual Video Outputs: Two composite video RCA output jacks allow you to an add external monitors, such as rear headrest monitors or an overhead monitor (sold separately). The video outputs can display a DVD or AV input video signal when its selected as the receiver's main source, regardless if the vehicle's parking brake is engaged or not.

Rear-View Camera Input: The Camera Input consists of a Composite video RCA jack for connecting an optional back-up camera (sold separately). This RCA input enables you to connect a rear-view camera to display the area behind your vehicle. This increased visibility encourages and facilitates safer driving. When an optional rearview camera is connected to this unit, the rear view image is displayed on the screen when your vehicle is placed in reverse gear (orange wire of the harness must be connected to reverse light wire of vehicle). Automatic video switching takes approximately 1.1 seconds.

    Touchscreen & Remote Control

6.2" LCD Touchscreen: The Dual XDVD210 features a 6.2" LCD touchscreen monitor (800x480) with LED backlighting. This unit's touchscreen controls with interactive video graphics make menu navigation simple and intuitive. You can adjust the screen's brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and sharpness level; as well as select from three different wallpapers/backgrounds.

Note: For safety reasons, you cannot view a video source on the built-in monitor as long as the vehicle is in motion. In order to display video, the pink wire of the included harness must be hardwired into the vehicle's parking brake light circuit, and the vehicle's parking brake must be engaged.

Hard-Key Controls: In addition to the 6.2" LCD touchscreen, the unit also has push-button controls along the left & right edges of the screen.

IR Remote Control: The XDVD210 comes supplied with a 41-button IR remote control which provides wireless operation of the DVD receiver.

You can check to see if this will fit your vehicle by using our Outfit My Car tool: http://www.crutchfield.com/car/carselector.aspx For additional details on fit or installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on if this will fit and what you will need for an installation in your vehicle.
