About the Dual XPA2500
Dual's XPA Series amplifiers add punch and power to your vehicle's audio system, so you experience all the benefits of an outboard amp without losing a week's salary. You'll enjoy the clean sonic details and pulse-pounding impact that your receiver's built-in amp just can't deliver.
The Dual XPA2500 delivers 50 watts RMS each to a pair of speakers plenty to get your car crankin'. Or, if you need some bass, you can bridge the XPA2500 to 1-channel mode to run a sub with up to 150 RMS watts of power. Frequency filters and a bass boost allow you to tune your XPA amp to your speakers, so you can achieve sonic superiority in your listening environment.

Features
CEA 2006 Compliant: The XPA2500's power ratings are measured according to the strict standards dictated by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards allow you to accurately compare the rated power output of all CEA 2006-compliant amplifiers, even if they come from different brands. Manufacturers who adhere to the standards can display the CEA 2006 logo on their products and packaging.
2/1-Channel Amplifier: The Dual XPA2500 can be set up for stereo or mono-bridged operation.
2-Ohm Stable: The Dual XPA2500 amplifier can handle down to 2-ohm loads in stereo operation and 4-ohm loads in mono-bridged operation.
LED Indicator: The LED indicator illuminates green during normal operation (Power), and red when the amplifier detects a fault (Protect).
Protection Circuitry: The amplifier features protection circuits that will turn the amp off in case of the following events:
- Speaker output contacts ground
- Speaker wire short-circuits
- Speaker load less than 2-ohms (stereo), or less than 4-ohms (bridged)
Controls
Input Sensitivity Rotary Control: The input level control (gain) is used to obtain the best possible matched between your headunit's output level and the amplifier's input level. 200 mV-6V
Crossover Mode: The amplifier's built-in variable crossover allows you to filter out frequencies above or below a certain point. You can choose between a low-pass crossover, high-pass-crossover, or full-range crossover.
Crossover Frequency: This control allows precise adjustment of the low-pass or high-pass crossover frequency. This can be adjusted between 50 and 500 Hz. The crossover slope is rated at 12dB/octave.
Bass Boost Rotary Control: You can apply a bass boost of up to +12dB at 45Hz.
