More details on the Accele 6566
Overview: The Accele (Beüler) alarm switch is designed to protect almost any entry point that has strut lifters. The switch clamps onto the strut arm and over the end of the strut body. When the the hatch or lid is opened, the strut body moves away from the switch causing the internal contact switch to close, providing continuity between the 2 attached wire leads and completing the circuit.
Wiring: The Accele alarm switch includes a 44" section of 2-stranded wire, with each end terminated in female slip-on connectors. If using the switch with as an alarm trigger, one wire lead can go to ground while the other lead gets attached to the alarm's negative trigger input wire. The switch can also be used to switch +12V as well, for either a positive trigger or as a light switch. The strut lifter switch can handle up to 3A of current @ 12VDC.
Applications: The Accele alarm switch can be used to protect a wide range of items using strut lifters: tonneau covers, liftgates, hoods, truck tool-boxes, RV & boat storage compartments, hatches, and more.
