Q
HI,LOOKING FOR A BENCH TESTER FOR TESTING CAR RECEIVERS AMPLIFIERS ECT OUT OF THE VEHICLE. IN THE GARAGE I KNOW IT IS PERFECT FOR THE RECIVERS. NOT SURE ABOUT AMPLIFIERS?

A
Power supply is rated 3 amp continuous and 5 amp 'surge' at 12V to 14V DC. Stay at or below these ratings with your load and you'll be good. From my experience, even the tiniest of standalone car audio amplifiers would far exceed these ratings. I use this power supply to power a head unit on my workbench, works fine for me in that application.

Q
Can I use this unit to power a 500 watt mono car amp in my home with continuous use?
[ Clyde  Feb 07, 2020 ]
1 answer
A
Hi Clyde, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, a car amplifier is going to pull more amps than what this converter will be able to supply. We would not recommend using this converter for continuous use with a mono block, car audio amplifier inside the home.

Q
will the Accele PS30 run 2 1000 watt mono amps and a head unit with 8 6x9s and 5 12s and a 15?

Yes

A
No, this will not run that. You will probably need a 12 volt battery and and battery charger to run something like that.
