About the Accele TLP100IRBL

Active parking lines for accuracy

I find parking lines extremely helpful when I'm using my vehicle's backup camera to gauge distance from an obstacle. Accele's TLP100IRBL ups the accuracy with active parking lines, which curve to anticipate where you're steering while backing up. Navigating tight parking lots in an oversized ride just got a heck of a lot easier.

Frame it

Accele takes the chore out of deciding where to mount this backup cam by building it into a license plate frame. The clean, black metal design is a match for most car exteriors, and the camera's waterproof rating means it'll perform well in spite of exposure to the elements.

Great detail

Accele's CCD camera sensor, along with built-in IR LEDs, provide a crisp, well-lit picture even when it's dark outside, and it's a match for any car stereo with a standard composite video input and viewing screen. The package includes a composite video cable that runs from the camera to your video screen up front.

Features

Compatibility: The Accele Optix TLP100IRBL license-plate backup camera features a standard composite video output (RCA plug) which makes it compatible with virtually any in-dash receiver with a built-in video monitor or stand-alone mobile video monitor featuring a composite video camera input.

Note: The Accele Optix TLP100IRBL is meant as a driving aid only; never solely rely on the backup camera. In addition to using the camera, always look behind and around you to make sure everything is clear.

1/3" Color CCD: The TLP100IRBL's rearview camera features a 1/3" color CCD image sensor with approximately 252,960 effective pixels (510 horizontal x 496 vertical). The rearview camera offers a 170° (horizontal) viewing angle providing an excellent field of vision behind your vehicle.

Dynamic Park Assist Lines: The Accele Optix TLP100IRBL will display park assist lines on your connected monitor to aid you in backing up into a parking spot. A built-in gyro-sensor allows the park assist lines to dynamically curve as you steer and angle your vehicle.

Note: The dynamic park assist lines cannot be turned off.

Built-in IR LEDs: Thanks to built-in IR LED's, the backup camera provides for excellent visibility in low light with a minimum illumination of 0.1 lux

Waterproof (IP67): The TLP100IRBL features a waterproof (IP68) housing to protect it from the elements. It's totally protected against dust and protected against the effect of immersion between 15cm and 1m for the duration of 30 minutes.

License Plate Frame Mounting: The Accele Optix TLP100IRBL backup camera features an integrated license plate frame which mounts around your vehicle's rear state license plate (mounting hardware is included). The license plate frame is made of metal and is street legal in all parts of the United States.

Note: The  Accele Optix TLP100IRBLis designed to work best on vehicles that have a license plate located at the center and above the rear bumper. If your vehicle has a plate location that is offset to the left side, right side or your plate is located under the bumper then the TLP100IRBL may not provide optimum performance.

Supplied Cables: The backup license-plate camera features an attached 2' power/video cable which connects to the supplied 5' power/video adapter cable which connects to the 24' power/video extension cable. The 24' power/video extension cable is then routed from outside of the vehicle through your vehicle's interior to your vehicle's display monitor or optional stand-alone monitor. The power (red)/ground (black) leads needs be connected to your vehicle's 12-volt electrical system.

Q
Does the Active Guideline feature require any special equipment? How does it know I'm turning?

A
I find the active guide lines very accurate and useful. How does it know you are turning, I don't know, but it works and I rely on them. I can back up with ease now.
[ Charles  Feb 14, 2018 ]
A
Not sure how it knows, but nothing special is required. I would suspect that there might be some kind of mercury switch or gyro device inside that can detect the motion when you turn the wheel. All I can say is that I was just as surprised as you will be that it does actually work.
[ Dennis  Feb 14, 2018 ]
A
Not sure how it is able to determine the steering wheel is moving, perhaps computer feed back... that said i don't recommend the product unless you only drive your vehicle on dry days and plan to bag or cover the camera when you wash the car. Camera goes black whenever it gets wet
[ Michael  Feb 14, 2018 ]
A
Hi the guidelines move with my steering wheel. I have a 2007 YUKON xl. This was installed with a pioneer 5200nex and maestro. It is a great camera
[ LORI  Feb 14, 2018 ]
A
The active parking lines work like the gyro in your cell phone. You begin moving and the gyroscope senses your move direction. But don't buy this unit. Bad camera. The low light function is not clear and turn trees pink.
[ Stanley  Feb 14, 2018 ]
A
It does not require any thing extra. I believe it works off a gyrometer . Surprisingly it is fairly accurate.

Q
i have the crutchfield license plate mounted camera but my power/rca cord is damaged. Where can i obtain it? How much will it cost?
[ Aaron  Dec 01, 2017 ]

A
The Accele TLP100IRBL license-plate camera features an attached 2' power/video cable which connects to the supplied 5' power/video adapter cable, which then connects to the 24' power/video extension cable. To get a replacement cable, your best option would be through Accele directly--you can reach their support department by phone at 800-788-1212. Hope that helps!
