Overview: The Cobra 2.5A Micro USB Hardwire Kit (CA-MICROUSB-003) lets you hardwire your compatible Cobra dash camera (sold separately) to your vehicle electrical system, allowing it to stay powered when the vehicle is off. This lets you take advantage of the Parking Mode and Motion Detection features of the dash cam, providing added security when the vehicle is off.
Compatibility: The Cobra Hardwire Kit is compatible with the following Cobra dash cameras:
- Cobra: SC100, SC200D, SC200, SC201, SC400, SC400D, DASH2208, DASH2308, DASH2316D, CCDC4500, CDR 835, CDR 855 BT, CDR 875 G, CDR 895 D, CDR 900, CDR 905 DBT, CDR 995 DI, CCDC4420, and CCDC4488.
The Cobra Hardwire Kit can also be used to power other micro USB devices that have the same power requirements (5V/2.5A).
Wiring: The Cobra Hardwire Kit features a bare-ended power wire (with in-line 2A fuse) that can be connected to a constant power source in the vehicle fuse box, and a bare-ended ground wire for attaching to the vehicle chassis. A 117" micro USB cable plugs directly into your Cobra dash cam.
DC Power Converter: The included in-line DC power converter features a convenient On/Off switch for manually applying power, along with an LED indicator. Intelligent power management in the DC converter protects your dash cam against Over Current, Over Voltage, Short Circuit, Over Temperature, and Low Battery faults.
