About the Focal 30A4
Perfect sound. Discreet style. Premium construction. These are the standards that define Focal – and that make listening to Focal speakers an absolute pleasure. The Access line offers a marriage of performance and affordability, allowing you to experience the best in sound with a guilt-free conscience.
Feel the bass
Bass gives your music fullness and texture. If you shortchange the bass, you're not hearing your music the way it's meant to be heard. This Focal Access Series 30A4 subwoofer uses an all-weather DFS (dual fiberglass structure) cone to deliver that depth of character you may be missing from your system. The cone's butyl rubber surround helps to ensure excellent strength, durability, and musical accuracy.
A unique ventilation system keeps the voice coil cool, allowing this sub to handle up to 250 watts RMS. Install this sub in a sealed box for tight, punchy bass, or in a ported enclosure for a little more boom.
To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 200 and 375 watts RMS at 4 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.

Focal 30A4 reviews
These subs are ridiculously good. Connected a pair of these in a ported 40 hertz box with two 10s in a sealed box to a two channel rockfordfosgate marine amp dialed in at 80 hertz. The sound quality is crazy good with two distinct bass frequencies.
Cons: Bit pricey

Good price, good sub great brand.3
Pros: Affordable, great looks. Small sealed volume.
Cons: The rubber gasket has Focal imprinted on it, the sub has Focal printed on it. But you can't make them line up correctly where the holes line up.

Cone Material: The Dual Fiberglass Structure Membrane (DFS) is a light, rigid, woven glass fiber woofer cone. The butyl rubber surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.
Spring-Posts: The 30A4 uses spring-post speaker terminals for easy connection of single banana plugs, pin connectors, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Rubber Gasket: The gasket/mounting-ring ensures better chassis damping and prevents air leakage. The rubber gasket is removable.
