The centerpiece of the Access Universal 12 is Focal's 30A4 12" subwoofer. Its advanced design features a dual-layer fiberglass structure (DFS) cone and a butyl rubber surround made to lay down some serious bottom end while minimizing distortion. The speaker's 4-ohm impedance works with most amplifiers, and its post-style wiring connectors make wiring simple. The 30A4 will handle up to 250 watts RMS, giving you plenty of bass for your daily drive.

The enclosure's ported design emphasizes the lowest ranges so it'll fill in your music's lowest octave. Features
Overview: The Focal Access Universal 12 features a 12" Sub30A4 subwoofer mounted in a compact ported enclosure designed to take up minimal vehicle space. The single 4 ohm subwoofer can handle up to 250 watts RMS (500W peak), providing deep clean bass for any size vehicle.
Driver: The included Sub30A4 12" driver features Focal's patented DFS (Dual Fiberglass Structure) technology incorporated into the cone design. This along with a Butyl rubber surround provide low elasticity and high rigidity. A 2" voice-coil on a Kapton former helps reduce overheating while providing higher power handling and cone excursion, resulting in deep controlled bass.
Enclosure: The Focal Universal 12 subwoofer's ported enclosure is constructed of rigid MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) for low resonance, and is lined with Blackhole Stuff damping material. This 100% cotton material provides superior damping over conventional enclosure materials such as polyester or fiberglass. The enclosure's port is tuned at 32Hz (a 25Hz subsonic filter is recommended), allowing for a frequency response down to 41Hz. The enclosure is protected from dings and scratches with an attractive black carpet covering and includes a black leatherette insert with the Focal logo in red.
Terminals: A terminal-cup on the side of the enclosure houses two threaded binding-posts with knurled tensioning-nuts. Each terminal-post can accommodate bare speaker wire up to 12 AWG or banana-connectors.
