They sound good. But for the money, I really was expecting more. Were they worth the price? Overall, yes. As stated above, they do sound good. They can handle music across the genres - from the loudest guitar to the softest classical. Major alphas: Well built. Pretty stable - the packaged hardware will help you set them up on any type of surface. Of course, the people at Crutchfield are amazing from start to finish. Sound reproduction is very good. Major deltas: I got the black speakers. The film they put on the speakers is, although not impossible to get off, requires some major work. This was a time consuming task that I did not count on. Not sure if other finishes have the same problem. As I stated, even though they sound really good, for the money, I did expect a little better. I would recommend these speakers.

Pros: Major alphas: Well built. Pretty stable - the packaged hardware will help you set them up on any type of surface. Of course, the people at Crutchfield are amazing from start to finish. Sound reproduction is very good.

Cons: Major deltas: I got the black speakers. The film they put on the speakers is, although not impossible to get off, requires some major work. This was a time consuming task that I did not count on. Not sure if other finishes have the same problem. As I stated, even though they sound really good, for the money, I did expect a little better.

Focal Chorus 714 perform like Babe Ruth

Have enjoyed Polk Audio and Klipsch floor speakers over the years and wondered how these would stand up. Well, the 714's slug Ruthian-like home runs. Crisp, detailed, clear, with plenty of base. Teaming up with a Denon internet receiver easily provides ample power. Hardly broken in, this pair promises many years of beautiful music to my ears, and leaves a small footprint in my 12X13 listening room.

Pros: Spectacular, full, detailed sound. Small Footprint

Cons: Nothing resembling
