You can feed the K2 Power E 25 KX 10" subwoofer up to 600 watts RMS without fear. This dual 4-ohm voice coil sub works best in sealed enclosures to produce bass that's highly accurate and plenty forceful. Focal assembles each sub by hand and rigorously inspects them for any flaws to ensure your investment performs to the high sonic standards they've set.
A massive two-segment magnet supplies the backbone for the sub's powerful reputation, driving the motor assembly with unerring precision. Focal anchors the K2 Power sub with a rugged zamak zinc alloy basket for dependable performance that won't get bent out of shape by your music.
At the top end of the sub, a butyl rubber surround maintains control of the cone, even during deep excursion. Focal's unique composite sandwich cone employs a structural foam central core coated with a layer of Aramid fiber on the front and a glass layer on the back side. The three layers together form an incredibly rigid yet lightweight membrane for high-quality sound reproduction with an added emphasis on thunderous sound pressure.

K2 Cone: The woofer cone is a sandwich composite consisting of a foam core, a structural glass fiber bottom layer, and a Kevlar top layer. This combination of materials results in a rigid, light weight cone with excellent damping characteristics.
Dual 4Ω Voice Coils: The dual 4Ω voice coils offer wiring flexibility; when wired in parallel the woofer presents a 2Ω load, when wired in series the woofer presents an 8Ω load.
Compression Terminals: The two sets of spring post terminals will accommodate single banana plugs, dual banana plugs (standard 3/4" width), and bare speaker wire up to 10 gauge.
Sealed Box: Focal recommends sealed enclosure sizes from 0.53 ft³ to 0.78 ft³. Sealed enclosures provide the most control over a woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable for all types of music.
Ported Box: Two ported enclosure volume options are listed in the manual; 0.78 ft³ (22 liters) with one 3.15" (8cm) diameter x 13.78" (35cm) long port and 1.06 ft³ (30 liters) with one 3.15" (8cm) diameter x 16.93" (43cm) long port. Ported (or vented) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed, so they are suitable for use with smaller amplifiers, giving you more bass output from less power. However, this efficiency comes at the expense of very low frequency output.
