Superior materials and design

Focal's ICU 570 2-way 5"x7" car speakers employ a polyglass woofer cone to give you a warm, natural sound with enhanced strength for accurate playback with no added resonances. An aluminum/magnesium inverted dome tweeter, backed by a built-in crossover, delivers astonishing detail in the high range and integrates an acoustic horn design for an improved soundstage across your dash. Focal also gives you two levels of tweeter adjustment so that you can adjust for poor factory speaker placement.

High sensitivity design

Planning to drive these speakers off a head unit? No problem. They're designed to take advantage of every bit of power supplied to give you the best audio quality possible. However, Focal's famous sound soars when powered by an aftermarket amp!

Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.

Easily installed into my 2014 Mustang and a HUGE improvement over stock speakers. I used these speakers to replace both the door and rear deck factory locations while using the factory radio and a Kicker Key 180.4 amplifier.

Pros: Direct bolt-in. It took more time to remove the door panels and rear deck cover then installing these speakers.

Cons: None

Great sound!

They sound great, but didn't fit the location behind the seats as indicated. The new speaker magnet was larger than the original speaker and needed more depth in the available space. I improvised and made some spacers to get the needed space. It made the install slighly more tedious than I had hoped, but results were great!

Pros: Sound is clear and vibrant.

Cons: Didn't fit without some minor modifications.

Pretty good sound at louder volumes but not as impressive at the lower volumes. The alpines type r I have in my rear doors sound a little better at the lower volumes and about the same turned up.

Features

Polyglass Cone: The woofer cone has a cellulose pulp base and is coated with a uniform deposit of hollow glass microballs. The addition of the Polyglass layer significantly increases the cone's rigidity without adding much weight. This combination takes advantage of the accuracy and neutrality of the hard outer surface, but maintains the superior damping characteristics of the cellulose pulp.

Surround: The butyl rubber surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.

Inverted Dome Tweeter: The tweeter is an inverted Aluminum/Magnesium dome, producing a broad sound stage. A switch on the tweeter allows adjustment of the tweeter output; choose flat or +3 dB.

Mounting Applications: Focal describes this speaker as a 5x7, but it also fits many 6x8 applications. Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit.

Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

Q
What tweeter level should I use if placing all 4 speakers in factory locations of a 2014 mustang?

A
I put these in a 2005 excursion. All levels were set at low level. Noteworthy point, the use of sound deadening and foam cones made these speakers really sound great.

Hey Zack, if your referring to the switch on the tweeter, I would highly recommend just listening to the speakers with the switch set in both positions. I'm going to assume you're installing them in your rear deck of your Mustang, so this will involve having to " install " then twice, but it's the only way to know for sure which Setting is right for you and your car. As far Hope this helps, good luck, I have the focal speakers two of my cars and I couldn't be happier

It's up to your listening pleasure. However, if you are concerned that you won't be able to slide the switch once you install them, and you're not installing a subwoofer, I would recommend flat. The highs on these tweeters are pretty crisp just on flat!!
[ Maurice  Apr 02, 2019 ]

I don't really understand your question. I put the tweeter in the door next to a full size speaker. I have been happy with the sound. I had to add a sub-woofer to help with the bass.
