Features
Mounting: The IC VW 165 speakers are a direct replacement for the factory speakers in select VW models. Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit. In many cases the factory speaker is riveted in place, so the factory rivets must be drilled out. The new speaker is a direct replacement, and can be mounted using the included rivets (if you have a rivet gun) or screws (not included).
Wiring: These speakers have the same plugs as the factory speakers, so the factory harnesses plug directly into the new speakers.
Polyglass Cone: The woofer cone has a cellulose pulp base and is coated with a uniform deposit of hollow glass microballs. The addition of the Polyglass layer significantly increases the cone's rigidity without adding much weight. This combination takes advantage of the accuracy and neutrality of the hard outer surface, but maintains the superior damping characteristics of the cellulose pulp.
Surround: The woofers' butyl rubber surrounds are resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity, adding to the speakers' reliability and longevity.
Inverted Dome Tweeter: The tweeters are inverted aluminum domes, producing a broad sound stage.
