Focal's ISU 570 5"x7" component speaker system employs a polyglass woofer cone to give you a warm, natural sound with enhanced strength for accurate playback with no added resonances. An aluminum/magnesium inverted dome tweeter, backed by an in-line crossover, delivers astonishing detail in the high range and integrates an acoustic horn design for an improved soundstage across your dash. Focal also gives you two mounting options for a smoother installation.

Woofer

Polyglass Cone: The woofer cone has a cellulose pulp base and is coated with a uniform deposit of hollow glass microballs. The addition of the Polyglass layer significantly increases the cone's rigidity without adding much weight. This combination takes advantage of the accuracy and neutrality of the hard outer surface, but maintains the superior damping characteristics of the cellulose pulp.

Surround: The butyl rubber surround is resistant to ultraviolet rays, temperature extremes, and humidity to add to the speaker's reliability and longevity.

Mounting Applications: Focal describes these woofers as 5x7, but they also fit many 6x8 applications. Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit.

Woofer Crossovers: The included 7" woofer wires have integrated crossovers. The woofer ends of the wires have female quick-slides that easily connect to the woofer terminals.

Tweeter

Inverted Dome Tweeter: The tweeter is an inverted aluminum and magnesium dome, producing a broad sound stage. The tweeter has a Neodymium magnet to provide a powerful magnetic field for the voice coil, while still maintaining the tweeter's compact dimensions.

Note: When flush mounted, the tweeters are pressure fit into the opening, with nothing holding them from behind, so the cutout diameter is very important.

Tweeter Crossovers: The included 18" tweeter wires have integrated crossovers. The tweeter ends of the wires have quick-slide terminals that easily connect to the wires soldered to the tweeters. The input end of each wire has three leads, a negative and two positives. The positive leads are labeled Car and Display, with a lower output level from the Car lead (useful because the placement of the woofer in a typical car installation requires the tweeter output be lowered to maintain a balanced sound).

If i were to install an active system in my vehicle (2014 Raptor w/ Sony) with PAC, a DSP and multiple amplifiers, would i be correct to assume that the 4ohm load on these Focal isu570 will then be split into 2ohms for the woofer and 2 for the tweeter?

I do not think we can assume they are 2-ohm, Jake. Since the ISU's have the inline crossover on the tweeter with a direct connect woofer, that woofer is most likely 4-ohms as listed. Focal does not list the specific impedance of each component sadly, so we have no way to determine the exact impedance of the tweeter with crossover removed or woofer specifically. They are most likely 4-ohms as listed as the tweeter uses an in-line crossover and if you are running an active DSP you should be able to simply remove the Focal inline crossover and set your DSP settings correctly. If you are using Focal ISU throughout your Truck, it's sure to sound fantastic! I hope this helps Jake.

What kind of bass should I expect from these? I'm an audiophile that listens to rap just as much as jazz and metal.

I was in the same boat... I got these and noticed a significant improvement in highs, mids, and lows I didnt have before. If you want loud boomy or short punchy sub type, you def need a sub. These keep pace and handle all the types you just named (I listen to as well). I also own Focal home speakers (Focal is an elite level speaker imo. Hand made in france). I have a 2011 Edge Limited and it came with an amp + sony speakers + amped sub. I didnt wanna buy/install aftermarket amp n wires n etc. So happy I got these. Def give em a try.

First off these speakers are amazing in sound quality. I find expected bass response an individual interpretation. They reproduce the full range of sound better than most speakers on the market. True bass can only be fufilled by subs, but in this price point, focals are the best. They will handle jazz and metal with ease. Rap, you will need subs for the full effect. Highly recommend running these with an amp to get their full potential.

What size is the tweeter? Is it a 1" tweeter or is it the same as the 1.5" tweeters focal sells separately?
