Focal never disappoints, but just moderate improvement here

I love Focal speakers and have never been disappointed with other products. This is my first foray into their BMW specific speaker line. This did make some noticeable improvements to the stock underseat sub woofers in my 2012 BMW M3. The lowest bass frequencies are still not going to be that noticeable (although they went from non existent to audible!), but these speajers really shine in reproducing mid bass. It will definitely add some punch to all kinds of music and fill out the lower frequency with what did previously sound very weak and anemic. If you are looking for an improvement with easy installation, 100% plug and play, no additional trunk space for other equipment or wiring needed - then this is a great product. However there are other options that offer more bang for the buck - like adding a 10 or 12 inch subwoofer or even external amp to drive your stock underseat sub woofers. I don't regret this given the ease of installation. Just don't expect a dramatic difference - just a noticeable and improved difference.
