About the Thule 542 Artificial Raingutters
Thule's 542 raingutters kit allows you to mount Thule gutter feet on vehicles without gutters. The kit contains four inside plates, four rubber protectors, and four outer brackets, along with bolts, washers, and nuts. You can mount these raingutters flat against the roof, or vertically on the roof side.
Note: Installation of this kit requires drilling holes through the roof of your vehicle. Crutchfield recommends using a professional to install this kit, unless you have extensive experience installing car equipment.

Overview: The Thule 542-Artificial Rain-Gutters adapter gutterless vehicles for use with Thule's 300, 387, and 953 gutter feet. The Thule 542 offers easy installation, for top or side mount. The Thule 542 is perfect for camper shells and caps.
Construction: The Thule 542-Artifical Rain Gutters feature extruded aluminum construction with a polyester powder painted steel bracket. Its hardware is zinc iron plated steel. The Artificial Rain Gutters also feature rubber pads and a steel backing plate.
Compatibility: The Thule 542 is compatible with 300, 387, 953, 324, 326, and 380 Thule rack foot mounts.
Note: The Thule 542 is not compatible with 307, 309, 364, 310 Thule rack foot mounts or any specialty carriers.
Installation: The Thule 542 can be mounted flat on the roof or vertically on the side of the roof (mount close to the roof top to allow clearance for the load bar). Thule recommends installation by a qualified auto-body shop.
Note: Thule cannot control the method of attachment or the material to which the 542 is attached. Therefore, Thule cannot warranty the attachment of the 542 to any vehicle.
