Overview: The Midland MXTA47 is a hand-held, push-to-talk microphone, designed for use with the Midland MXT400 MicroMobile radio (sold separately). The microphone features built-in ANC (Automatic Noise Cancelling) for clearer transmissions. The MXTA47 is also dustproof and waterproof that is safe for use in harsh conditions. The mic has a 4' coiled cord with an RJ-45 plug.
Dust/Water Resistant: The MXTA47's push-to-talk button and RJ-45 plug are equipped with a sealed rubber covering that prevents dust and water from getting inside. This makes the microphone ideal for use in agricultural applications, off-road sports, and emergency vehicles. The microphone carries International Protection (IP) and Japan Industrial Standards (JIS) ratings that reflect its resistance to water and dust. The IP66 rating certifies that the mic is sealed against ingress of dust, and protected from splashing water from any direction. The JIS-4 also certifies protection from splashing water.
Automatic Noise Cancelling (ANC): The MXTA47 has selectable ANC (Automatic Noise Cancelling) for clear, noise-free transmissions. When transmitting in noisy areas, press and hold the ANC button for 3 seconds to activate ANC. The LED indicator ("M" logo) will turn blue when ANC is active. To turn off ANC, press/hold button for 3 seconds until indicator turns white.
Onboard Controls: On the front of the microphone are three buttons: Channel Up, Channel Down, and ANC on/off.
LED Indicator: The Midland "M" logo on the front of the microphone is an LED Mode Indicator with the following color codes:
- Blue: ANC mode on
- White: Standard mode (ANC off)
- Red: Transmitting
