Designed for outdoor use, these rugged, water-resistant X-Talker radios offer a maximum range of up to 38 miles, so you'll be able to stay in touch over long distances. With 36 channels, a whopping 121 privacy codes, and channel scan, plus NOAA Weather Radio, with Weather Alert and Weather Scan, you'll be glad you packed these radios in your travel kit.
Go hands-free when you need to
The buttons are easy to use, even when you're wearing gloves. If you don't have a hand free when the call comes over, you can rely on eVOX hands-free operation to communicate clearly, or use the two boom mic headsets for true hands-free communication. You'll also find a handy USB car adapter.
Pick your power
With high/low power settings, you can conserve battery power when you need it most. When it's time to charge the two 1000mAh rechargeable battery packs, you can use the included AC desktop charging dock or the micro USB charging cable and 12-volt charging plug. You can also power each handset with three AA batteries (not included).

36 Channels w/ 121 Privacy Codes: The Midland X-Talker two-way radio (T77VP5) offers 36 FRS channels with easy button access for channel selection. 121 privacy codes give you up to 2662 channel options to help you block other conversations. The result is clear, crisp communication.
Channel Scanning: The Midland two-way radio can scan all 22 channels for activity. The two-way radio will rapidly scan each of the 22 channels and stop on any active channel for six seconds before resuming scan.
LCD Screen: The X-Talker two-way radio features and LCD screen that indicates Channel Number, Privacy Code, and Battery Meter; as well as icons for Weather Band, Key Lock, VOX, Receiving, & Transmitting.
Built-in Mic/Speaker + Headset: The Midland X-Talker T77VP5 is equipped with a built-in microphone & speaker. The two-way radio also features a 2.5mm microphone jack and 3.5mm speaker jack to connect the included headset. You can raise and lower the volume level of the built-in speaker and headset.
VOX (Voice Activated Transmit): VOX is a feature that allows you to use the two-way radio hands-free. VOX keeps the microphone active all the time, which means that the radio will automatically start transmitting when you speak. This feature relieves you of the burden of having to push the microphone button when you want to start transmitting.
Weather Alert Radio w/ Weather Scan: The Midland X-Talker two-way radio has a NOAA weather-band radio function to enable you to receive weather reports & alerts from designated NOAA stations. The Weather Scan feature automatically scans and locks onto your local weather channel and alerts you to severe weather.
Call Alerts (Beep or Vibrate): The X-Talker two-way radio can transmit a call alert with an audible beep. Or, you can set the two-way radio to vibrate for silent alert of an incoming call.
Roger Beep: The two-way radio will beep to confirm to other users that your transmission has finished.
Silent Operation: The Silent Operation mode turns off all beeps & tones for quiet operation when you are out in the woods hunting or taking photos of wildlife.
Keypad Lock: To avoid accidentally changing the radio settings, you can lock the two-way radio's keypad.
Rechargeable Battery Pack: The two-way radio is powered by a 1000mAh rechargeable NiMH battery pack (included) or three "AA" batteries (not included). A desktop charger is supplied to charge both two-way radios at once from the included AC power adapter. You can also use the included 12V/USB adapter to charge the two-way radio in your vehicle.
Weather Resistant: The Midland X-Talker two-way radio is rugged and weather resistant, so it can withstand the outdoor elements. However, it should not be submerged in water.
