Bluetooth makes your drive better

With Bluetooth, you'll enjoy all the content on your smartphone — stored music, streaming services like Pandora and Spotify, podcasts, and audiobooks. Android™ or iPhone®, it's yours to enjoy through wireless streaming. Plus you can take and make calls while keeping your hands on the wheel — an awesome safety feature when you're making your daily commute. Boss built in a sensitive Bluetooth microphone for your calls, located on the receiver's faceplate for a simpler installation.

Video entertainment

When your car is parked, you can use 6.2" screen to view video content from DVDs, microSD cards, or USB thumb drives. If you want to take your show on the road, connect video screens to the receiver's video outputs and keep your backseat passengers entertained. And with an optional rear-view camera (not included), you can use your new in-dash display to help back into those tight parking spots.

With Boss's A-LINK App you can mirror the screen of certain Android smartphones on the receiver's screen

More ways to enjoy your music

Play music back from DVDs or CDs, or load up a USB drive or microSD card with your digital music, plug them in and let them play for hours. Use the front auxiliary input to connect a portable player. For sound shaping, this Boss includes an 8-band EQ, and to get more impact out of your system, three sets of preamp outputs let you connect amplifiers to power your speakers.

You'll need a wired connection to your parking brake to access settings and other features on this receiver. Your parking brake must be connected and set in order to view video on its screen.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Greetings Howard, and thank you for your question. Manufactures come out with new replacement stereos every year or two. The Boss BV755V does not have all the features as the Pioneer AVH 1550NEX has like Apple Carplay, but it does have the CD/DVD player built in. If you are looking for identical features of the older Pioneer stereo, please call one of our advisors at 800-324-9695 and have them check to see what might be available.

    Q
I bought this radio back in 2020 and every 3-4 months it just randomly won't turn on. I unhook the plugs to the radio and plug it back in and everything works fine. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
    [ DAWSON  Jul 05, 2022 ]
    1 answer
    A
That sounds like it could be a radio issue, Dawson. It could even be a slight physical issue with the plugs to the radio as well. It could even be an issue with the specific integration adapter you are using in your ride, too. Either way you're in good shape! You've got a full 3 year warranty on these Boss radios and you are well within that time. Give us a call at our Tech Support line first at 1-888-292-2575 and we can help troubleshoot to zero in on exactly what the issue might be, then if we determine it's a radio issue we replace it no questions! That's the benefit if getting your gear with us, we are always here to help when you need us.

No it never turned to zero I had mine for awhile
    [ JACK DE  May 04, 2022 ]
    A
No but when turning up volume, it will turn down then go up.
    [ RAYMOND  May 04, 2022 ]
    A
I've also been having problems with my volume control not wanting to be turned up louder when manually turning it. I'm thinking it has to do with the volume control switch being sensative to temperature or moisture. Not sure though.

    Q
I've owned my Boss BV755B for just over a year now. Every few months it won't turn on when it should. The only way I have to found to resolve this is to pull the radio and unplug in it from the harness. I have unplugged the battery and check the fuses, which wasn't the issue. Has anyone else had this issue?
    [ Moonthekitsune  Mar 09, 2022 ]
    1 answer
    A
I purchased 2 of this units myself, I installed one in my 2001 Toyota Avalon and the other in my 2004 Toyota Tundra. I also experience this issue every few months, but only the unit in the Tundra, and not in the Avalon. What I do is locate the vehicle's main Radio Fuse and pull it out of its socket and then put it back in - the unit comes back on again. This appears to act like a Reset function. I too would like to know if there is a permanent fix regarding this issue. Thanks for brining up this issue.

    Q
Does this improve over all sound quality what is the overall wattage?
    [ Robert  Jan 30, 2022 ]
    1 answer
    A
There's no way to know if anything will improve your sound quality because nobody knows what your existing sound quality is. Th specs listed in the item description clearly states built-in internal amp (20 watts RMS/80 peak x 4 channels) so I don't know if you're looking for a different answer or what.

    Q
Can I bridge a radio from $ to 2 Speakers and double the power?
    [ FRANKIE  Jan 24, 2022 ]
    1 answer
    A
This receiver's amp channels cannot be bridged to increase the power output to speakers. It does have preamp outputs for connecting an external amp that does have more power. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation on an amp that will work with your speakers.

    [ JOHN  Jan 19, 2022 ]
    1 answer
    A
The ability to retain steering wheel controls with aftermarket receivers will be determined by the receiver you are using and the vehicle you have. For full information on this type of integration (including the parts you will need) please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

The brightness of the player screen is not connected to the vehicle's dashboard dimmer control. However, you can control the player's brightness on the player itself. Press Menu button located above the On/Off/Volume knob, the screen will display various icons but you'll need to press on the right Arrow for the icon of Settings to appear. Press Settings and then press the scroll down arrow until you see Illumination. It's at the illumination where can control brightness, etc. Hope this helps you out.

Where will the hazard light button be on a 2015 Honda CR-V if I remove the factory radio and replace it with this unit?
    [ RICHARD  Oct 31, 2021 ]
    1 answer
    A
Hi Richard. A dash kit would be needed to complete the installation. If you purchase from Crutchfield you will be presented with a package of options to integrate with your system, those items would be discounted up to $50 with the purchase of a receiver. Take a look at the link below, this will show you the needed dash kit which has an opening to transfer the hazard button to the new kit. Two screws are removed from the factory surround, then move it to the new dash kit. Hope this helps. https://cwww.crutchfield.ad.crutchfield.com/p_142HA1714B/Scosche-HA1714B-Dash-Kit.html

Yes, there is a dial (i.e. a physical knob), but it only controls the volume. I use the touch pad for most everything else, but there are push buttons on the left by the dial. I mainly use the push buttons for quickly changing from AM to FM, or for changing the input source. That said, the unit comes with a remote control, which I have not used. I've been thinking to try it as it would probably be very handy.

This means that you cannot plug your iPod/iPhone directly into the USB and control it from the radio. You can probably trickle charge it (I have never tried). If you want music from your iPhone, you should bluetooth sync. If you want to plug in your iPod, you need to use an AUX cable.

Check the fuse in the back of the unit. Remove and reinstall it even if it is good. Try disconnecting the harness from the radio, then reconnecting. I have had trouble a few times with the radio not powering, and was always resolved by disconnecting harness and reconnecting, and checking fuse... a pain in the neck! I haven't tried just disconnecting the car battery, to see if that would remedy it. Just thought of that after the last time... duh. Good luck!

Fuse problem: in the 3 months I've had this receiver I have had to remove it from the dash twice because it inexplicably lost power. Each time, I would remove the fuse from the rear of the unit, discover it was not blown, and reinsert it. This fixes the issue for some period of time, but it recurs. The fuse fits snugly, and I've replaced it with another even though it was still good. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

My radio also would not come on when I got into my vehicle and started the engine. I stopped the car and checked the vehicle's fuse under the hood. The fuse was good, so I put it back in. I started it back up and the radio then worked OK, although it was back to its original state and the radio stations had to be reprogrammed. This has happened several times since, but it is always solved by removing and reinserting the fuse in the vehicle's fuse under the hood.

Yes multiple times, I've checked all the wiring, fuses in the panel, and the fuse in the back of the head unit. My advice is just to not buy another

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

No you do not need to run a wire to the stereo, plugs in with stock wiring. Wiring conversion sold by Cruthfeild highly recommended. Worked flawlessly, install took maybe 10 minutes. Over all really like the head unit for the price, and definitely a bit of an upgrade over my stock 2011 we'd stereo
    [ Kathleen  Apr 15, 2019 ]
    A
I don't where you read something like that but it was probably written by someone who's never installed anything the correct way. No, you don't need to run a power to the radio from the battery. As far as the RMS, should be listed in the specs

Yes it comes with all the wiring connections at no additional cost. You can add an additional connector at an additional cost that allows you to plug into the factory plug rather than cutting and reconnecting. That addition is your option. Crutchfield tech support is awesome. Any questions you have you can give them a call and they will guide you through the process. I have installed several units for me and my daughters and each time I have called they have gotten me on track. Thanks
