Seeing is believing

The Boss BV755BLC DVD receiver does a lot for the money — and with the included rear-view camera it's an even better deal. This DVD receiver's 6.2" display features easy-to-use controls for your sources, plus built-in Bluetooth® for hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming from your smartphone. Even better — Boss backs up your investment with a 3-year warranty.

Stay safe in tight spots

The 6.2" screen comes in handy for viewing images from Boss's included rear-view camera. The image engages automatically when you shift into reverse, or you can access the camera's view through the stereo's touchscreen. You'll be able to see nearby car bumpers and other hazards lurking in blind spots.

Bluetooth makes your drive better

With Bluetooth, you'll enjoy all the content on your smartphone — stored music, streaming services like Pandora and Spotify, podcasts, and audiobooks. Android™ or iPhone®, it's yours to enjoy through wireless streaming. Plus you can take and make calls while keeping your hands on the wheel — an awesome safety feature when you're making your daily commute. Boss built in a sensitive Bluetooth microphone for your calls, located on the receiver's faceplate for a simpler installation.

Video entertainment

When your car is parked, you can use the screen to view video content from DVDs, SD™ cards, or USB thumb drives. If you want to take your show on the road, connect video screens to the receiver's video outputs and keep your backseat passengers entertained.

More ways to enjoy your music

Play music back from DVDs or CDs, or load up a USB drive or SD card with your digital music, plug them in and let them play for hours. Use the front auxiliary input to connect a portable player. For sound shaping, this Boss includes an 8-band EQ. Three sets of preamp outputs make it easier to connect amplifiers to get more impact out of your system.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Not a bad system, very clear backup cam.. Now the Wifes Tacoma has 2 backup cams.. since the factory cam is in the rearview mirror. Sounds great and sinked to the iphone with problem... The remote is nice if the kid want to change stations from the back without messing with the driver

So far I'm loving it. The options for music are awesome, CD, mp3, aux, Bluetooth, USB, and SD card. I use the SD card most. I wish it would stay on shuffle, but every BT phone call or time you turn on the radio the shuffle turns off. The BT works well, connects instantly to my phone when I turn on the car. The back up to camera is a nice touch. It has options for preset EQ, or for a user created preset.

    Pros: Options Looks Function

    Cons: Shuffle doesn't stay set

Unit is performing as expected and was not difficult to install. More instruction details for installing the back up camera would have been helpful. I am unable to turn off the stereo while the back up camera is engaged - this is in a manual transmission car and I leave the car in reverse when parked so I must remember to turn off the stereo before shifting to reverse and turning off the car.

Pros: Intuitive operation Plenty of features

Cons: Cannot turn off the stereo if the back up camera is engaged.

Basic features work great, easy to install, great value. I wish it had album art, track selection, etc when using Bluetooth streaming. Steering wheel control is available via built-in wiring, although the description and details on the webpage say it's not. Built-in mic does not work well for bluetooth calling, at least not in my minivan.

Excellent radio. It has all the features of the more known brand radios. The backup camera feature is great as this one is for my teenage daughter so I feel better that she has that feature on her older vehicle. It was easy to install. I did have to go to YouTube to see about the camera installation, but it was also easy overall.

    Pros: Lots of features

Cons: Instructions on camera installation were not clear.

Easy to install in my 2007 Civic. The rear camera took some effort since cars weren't designed with cameras, but after two hours the whole job was done and the car back together looking just like the stereo was installed by a pro. The kit Crutchfield field bundled was excellent. I wouldn't have guessed I could get the whole section of dash so cheap. The camera comes on automatically when the car is in reverse. The only drawback is that it does take a few seconds to boot. But by the time I put the car in reverse it is ready. The CD player, and micro sd card both work well for audio books and music. You can adjust the starting volume so the Bluetooth and radio and various source are all the same starting volume. Great value for a low price.

Pros: Rear camera, micro so slot for mp3s, CD player, easy to find volume knob

    Cons: Slow boot up

If you want a decent double din deck for cheap, this is for you. It's a simple deck to install. It comes with easy installation instructions. You can also purchase the prewire setup to save some time in installation. The sensitive of the touch screen is pretty good, no delay in touch and you dont need to press hard compared to the item review video.

Pros: Easy to install Cheap Decent sound output for low power stereo

Cons: Backup camera video wire about a foot short

Very pleased with this unit. Install was easy with the Crutchfield-supplied wiring harness and looks great in my '06 Miata with the Metra install kit. Head unit and backup camera work well. I did need some wiring guidance from Crutchfield for the camera as the provided instructions aren't great, but they answered immediately and the help was great. Sound quality is not amazing, but it is well worth the money and much better than the stock head unit, with factory speakers.

Good Buy in economy priced radio

    2004 Ford Ranger

    Verified customer (What's this?)
    Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Reason to change my 2004 Ranger to a 2DN radio is for backup camera. Economy priced radio with camera and radio equals or exceeds OEM sound. Very pleased with radio except getting to Settings is not an easy task. Most photos of camera in instructions are not easy to see (black & white) Not expecting to get a radio with a camera, I had previously purchased a camera. The camera with this radio did not produce as sharp of picture nor color as my 1st camera. For that reason, I chose to install my earlier camera. However, without a comparison, I would have accepted the radio's included camera performance. The driving factor of buying from Crutchfield is their service/help before and after the sale!

GREAT receiver!! There is no need to spend hundreds of dollars, just buy this and be done with it! Not only is the display nice and bright, but the interface is very intuitive and easy to use. The menu system is straight forward and uncomplicated. Sounds quality is reasonable and what you would expect. Was worried about glare from the sun in the dash, but it's not proven to be an issue. You would be hard pressed to find a better multi function receiver for under $150.00 anywhere!

Pretty good bang for the buck. Haven't spent a lot of time in the settings but I get Bluetooth playback and hands-free calling which is the main reason I purchased. Sound is good. Comes with everything needed to install the back up camera. I loke how the camera video cable had a built in power feed to send power from the reverse light to the deck to activate the screen when the truck goes into reverse. First time installer but it was pretty simple.

Pros: Comes with back up camera and required installation wires. Sound is good. Microphone built in to tge deck seems to work well

Cons: Havent found any so far.

Next time I may spend a little bit more and take a name brand. I notice a difference in sound and screen quality. I have used Pioneer and JVC and both have been great. If you just want an upgrade that has touch screen, dvd, bluetooth and ok with the basics this will do. But if you only need the basic then for the price this will do the job.

Pros: - Price - Includes Camera - Have not tested yet - Does the job - Easy to setup - Radio Data on Stations and can select by category. - Bluetooth connected fine. I am using an Android Phone (Honors Brand)

Cons: Interface is boring Not much selections of eq bands Sound quality ok. Same as factory radio Display and color scheme not great Screen Navigation not great to many screens to get to option. Some screens dont have back options. Touch screen is not that responsive

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth Technology: The Boss BV755B DVD receiver is equipped with built-in Bluetooth, providing hands-free communication and audio streaming for added convenience and safety in the vehicle. Before using the unit's Bluetooth functions, you must pair your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone or audio device to the BV755B. Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some mobile devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Boss BV755B.

Hands-Free Communication (w/ Integrated Mic): The Boss BV755B allows for wireless communication between the head unit and your Bluetooth enabled smartphone. The head unit will display the caller's phone number and an audible ring tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker during an incoming call. You can manually answer or end a call through the head unit's front-panel controls. The BV755B allows you to carry on the phone conversation using the head unit's integrated microphone and your car audio speakers. Your music will mute automatically during a call. You can make a call using the the Boss receiver's LCD touchscreen via its on-screen keypad, your phone's transferred phonebook, or list of your most recent calls.

Note: This unit does not support the connection of external microphone.

Wireless Audio Streaming: The Boss BV755B also allows you to play back stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth enabled smartphone, tablet, or other device using a Bluetooth connection. You can control basic music playback functions, like Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track from the Boss head unit. Advance music navigation and song/artist information will still need to be handled through the Bluetooth mobile device. This unit also displays song/artist information (no album art) from Bluetooth audio devices.

    Disc/SD/USB Playback

Disc Compatibility: The Boss BV755B features a single disc player that will playback DVD-video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD-audio, and CD-R/RW discs. The unit supports a variety of music, video, and photo files via DVD or CD.

    • Off Insert/Eject: You can load and eject a disc with the unit off. Playback will automatically start when inserting a disc.
    • Auto Reload: When a disc is ejected and left sticking out of the disc slot for 10 seconds, the unit automatically reloads the disc to protect if from damage.

ESP (Electronic Skip Protection): ESP is a feature that buffers the CD while playing, storing 5 seconds of music. If disc reading is interrupted, the player momentarily uses the stored data, while the tracking circuitry finds the passage prior to the interruption on the CD for continuous performance.

SD-Card Slot: The Boss DVD receiver features a front-panel SD-card slot for playback of a variety of music, video, and photo files recorded onto a SD/SDHC memory card (up to 32GB).

I dont recall the inputs when I installed mine. There is a built in mic that works okay. However, if you turn the volume up too loud, the person you're talking to will hear and echo.

it has already a built in mic for hands free calling thru bluetooth, as per adding a external mic, i don"t think so, there is no port for external mic. I use mine the built in mic and it's just fine for normal conversations.

I just intalled this on a 2002 e350 and the cruise control on the wheel is not ran through the radio, but this unit does not fit flush unless you cut some steel supports. I do not suggest it for your rig. Hope this helps

    Q
In the details for my Ram 2500 it says if I replace my factory deck I'll lose my aux inputs. My truck has 2 USB ports in the center council. I keep my iPod in there and plugged in so I can hear my music. Is that considered the same as the aux port? In my experience auxiliary ports are headphone jacks. I don't want to lose the use of these USB ports.

The AUX is different than the USB. Depending on the exact year of the RAM we may have installation gear to retain those factory inputs. You can connect with one of our friendly product advisors to find out: https://bit.ly/2QNxGQB
