Seeing is believing

The Boss BV755BLC DVD receiver does a lot for the money — and with the included rear-view camera it's an even better deal. This DVD receiver's 6.2" display features easy-to-use controls for your sources, plus built-in Bluetooth® for hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming from your smartphone. Voice control functions are only a push of a button away when the receiver is paired with your smartphone's voice assistant. Best of all — Boss backs up your investment with a 3-year warranty.

Stay safe in tight spots

The 6.2" screen comes in handy for viewing images from Boss's included rear-view camera. The image engages automatically when you shift into reverse, or you can access the camera's view through the stereo's touchscreen. You'll be able to see nearby car bumpers and other hazards lurking in blind spots.

Bluetooth makes your drive better

With Bluetooth, you'll enjoy all the content on your smartphone — stored music, streaming services like Pandora and Spotify, podcasts, and audiobooks. Android™ or iPhone®, it's yours to enjoy through wireless streaming. Plus you can take and make calls while keeping your hands on the wheel — an awesome safety feature when you're making your daily commute. Boss built in a sensitive Bluetooth microphone for your calls, located on the receiver's faceplate for a simpler installation.

Video entertainment

When your car is parked, you can use the screen to view video content from DVDs, microSD cards, or USB thumb drives. If you want to take your show on the road, connect video screens to the receiver's video outputs and keep your backseat passengers entertained. With Boss's A-LINK App you can mirror the screen of certain Android smartphones on the receiver's screen.

More ways to enjoy your music

Play music back from DVDs or CDs, or load up a USB drive or microSD card with your digital music, plug them in and let them play for hours. Use the front auxiliary input to connect a portable player. For sound shaping, this Boss includes an 8-band EQ. Three sets of preamp outputs make it easier to connect amplifiers to get more impact out of your system.

You'll need a wired connection to your parking brake to access settings and other features on this receiver. Your parking brake must be connected and set in order to view video on its screen.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

This unit has touchscreen controls with interactive video graphics, making menu navigation easy. You can switch between 6 preset wallpaper or backgrounds. You can manually adjust the LCD touchscreen monitor's brightness for day and nighttime viewing. You can also setup the unit to have the display dim when you turn your vehicle's lights on (the orange wire of the wiring harness must be connected to your vehicle's headlight circuit).

    • Hard-Key Controls: In addition to touchscreen controls, the head unit features a 3-way rotary knob and 4 push-buttons along the left edge of the screen. The 3-way rotary knob controls Power, Volume, and Mute. The 4 push-buttons activate "Push-To-Talk" voice control, operate disc eject, select mode (source), choose band (AM/FM).
    • Video Lock Out: For safety reasons, you cannot view a video source on the built-in monitor as long as the vehicle is in motion. In order to display video, the head unit's pink wire must be hardwired into the vehicle's parking brake light circuit, and the vehicle's parking brake must be engaged.
Note: For safety reasons, you cannot view a video source on the built-in LCD screen as long as the vehicle is in motion. In order to display video, the light blue wire of the harness must be hardwired into the vehicle's parking brake light circuit, and the vehicle's parking brake must be engaged.

Push-To-Talk Voice Assistant: When connected via Bluetooth to an iPhone with Siri or Android smartphone with Google Assistant or Bixby, you can access the mobile device's digital voice assistant through the Boss receiver by pressing the "Push-to-Talk" button on the front-panel. You'll be able to ask your digital voice assistant get directions to a destination and the turn-by-turn instructions will heard through your vehicle's speakers, while the on-screen map still displays on your compatible smartphone. The head unit's audio is attenuated while the digital voice assistant provides voice prompts.

Note: The head unit's LCD touchscreen will only display hands-free calling and Bluetooth audio information (all other digital voice assistant functions are only audible through the Boss head unit; visual data will still need to be viewed from your smartphone device).

On the setup page, in the function area you can touch to see the Bluetooth phonebook menu and that will show you the contact list. Q
I installed this in a 96 Toyota Tacoma. Everything seemed fine at first, but then I noticed that the unit would not turn off when I shut my vehicle off. I even waited 30+ minutes and I could still see the screen through my very dark window tint. Everything seemed to be connected correctly, as a matter of fact I cut and redone some things thinking I wired it wrong. I eventually unhooked the constant wires (yellow) and now I do not have the power issue. However I am not able to save radio stations as there is no "memory". Any suggestions?
    kristopher  Aug 27, 2022
    1 answer
    A
Of course, Kristopher! If you are having issues with any package bought from us, we want you to call our Live Technical Support team to help troubleshoot. We bake that goodness into every order, every time from us! It does sound like you made your connections correctly, but the radio is staying on. It's possible the harness came with reversed power connections in the plug. I've sent you some info via email that I hope will help, it's the pin diagram for the Metra harness you most likely used. I could not find any order info via your email, but this is most likely what you have in place. I hope this helps!

    Q
Can external amps be used with this? I am wanting to install a small amp on an output wire, aswell as a bigger amp for subs, which will most likely be powered on/off by a switch
    kristopher  Jul 10, 2022
    1 answer
    A
You can certainly add external amps to this radio. It has 6 channel preamp outputs. 2 channel to add a mono amp and 4 channels for a multi channel amp.

where can I go to get this installed?

    A
Greetings Cade, and thank you for your question. We have a tool on our website to help you find installers in your area. Enter your zip code, and you should see some. We are not affiliated in any with these installers, its just a help tool. There should be phone numbers listed as well. Here is the link: https://www.crutchfield.com/LocalInstaller/InstallerSearch.aspx?installType=0 If the link changes at some point, you can find it under the car audio tab.

I have a 2013 Nissan Juke with a 6 speed manual transmission, will this work on a manual transmission out of the box, or will I need extra parts?

Not sure why you describe the transmission. You tap into reverse light wiring to activate camera.

not sure if your asking about whether the backup camera will automatically turn on when you shift to reverse. mine does not in 2010 Toyota Rav4 with automatic transmission. I have to press camera icon to enable camera, and then press again when finished backing up

Can you use different backup cameras?
    jesus  Dec 05, 2021
    1 answer
    A
I have used different cameras for backup. As long as they have a RCA. But keep your receipt just in case you need to return . Crutchfield is good with service. I bought three of these BOSS units, I really like them , but choke out the extra $$$ and get a premade wiring harness.

    Q
I have this radio, I also bought a Kicker 10in low profile box. The out on the radio is rca, the in on the box is +/- speaker wire. I attempted to connect simply with an rca cable that I split but had no signal. I am unsure if it is my splice job that was bad or if I need to run an amp for the sub as well in line with the radio sub out? I didn't intend to drive the sub hard and I thought the radios internal amp would be able to push it at low levels. I tried to troubleshoot with a normal speaker also but got nothing as well.
    thomas  Nov 21, 2021
    2 answers
    A
When you spliced the cable did you connect the negative and positive corectly? The wire that is connected to the inside part of the really cable is the negative.. also when you splice make sure you have a full set of wire.. no pieces broken off or the connection will not be good.. it may help to solder the wires after you're sure they work. Also make sure you have them coming from the output of the radio not the input. Hope this helps.
    elaine  Nov 24, 2021

I used an external or in line amp then went to sub with normal speaker wire. Pretty sure it's the only way

It will mute it. I believe it does that because you are switching from one feature to the next. It's like switching from tuner to streaming. It's like asking why can't I hear my CD playing while I look at what radio station its on. If your looking for those top of the line features then you have to step up to top of the line equipment. You can't expect your cheaper brand shoes to act like Nike.

It is not wireless. It comes with a video wire that you have to run. I have a truck and the wire is barely long enough to run from the license plate, along the side, inside the drivers door, and into the back of the radio. You have to also wire in power to the camera. I spliced into the reverse lights, the camera turns on automatically when I shift into reverse. Works perfect.

I have a 2004 f350 will my steering wheel controls still work? I have cruise control on my steering wheel and want to make sure it isn't ran through the factory radio?

I just installed this in a 2000 Excursion V10. My cruise control is also on the steering wheel and the cruise control still works.

I just intalled this on a 2002 e350 and the cruise control on the wheel is not ran through the radio, but this unit does not fit flush unless you cut some steel supports. I do not suggest it for your rig. Hope this helps

    Q
In the details for my Ram 2500 it says if I replace my factory deck I'll lose my aux inputs. My truck has 2 USB ports in the center council. I keep my iPod in there and plugged in so I can hear my music. Is that considered the same as the aux port? In my experience auxiliary ports are headphone jacks. I don't want to lose the use of these USB ports.

The AUX is different than the USB. Depending on the exact year of the RAM we may have installation gear to retain those factory inputs. You can connect with one of our friendly product advisors to find out: https://bit.ly/2QNxGQB
