Bluetooth delivers wireless convenience

Bluetooth enables wireless streaming for stored music, Internet radio stations like Pandora and Spotify, podcasts, and audiobooks. Android™ users can pair to this receiver, download Boss's control app, and run the show right from their phone. This receiver also lets you take and make calls while keeping your hands on the wheel — an awesome safety feature when you're making your daily commute. Boss built in a sensitive Bluetooth microphone for your calls, located on the receiver's faceplate for a simpler installation.

Bring on the video

When your car is parked, you can use 6.5" screen to view movies. You can also see your artist and song info without squinting. If you want to take your show on the road, connect video screens to the receiver's two video outputs and keep your backseat passengers entertained. Talk about value — Boss also included a backup camera with the BV765BLC receiver. Install it on the top part of the license plate holder, run some wire to the back of the receiver, and bingo, you can then use your new in-dash display to help back into those tight parking spots.

More media options

Turning to music, you can slide in just about any disc, even a recordable DVD or CD loaded with MP3 files. You can load up a USB drive or SD card with your digital music, plug them in, and let them play for hours. The front auxiliary input lets your connect a portable player, like a portable high-res player. This Boss includes 7-band EQ and seven presets for quick tone changes. To get more impact out of your system, three sets of preamp outputs let you connect amplifiers to power your speakers.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

    Customer Q&A

    49 questions already asked

    Q
What do you mean by this statement? When you replace the factory radio, you'll lose the factory Video Entertainment feature. If the new head unit comes with a DVD player what is the difference. Also will the security system stop working if you remove the factory head unit as it has the light that indicates security functionality...
    [ Randy  Sep 13, 2020 ]
    1 answer
    A
The Video Entertainment feature refers to vehicles with factory installed rear seat monitors that tie into the stock system to show videos from DVDs, etc... If you don't have this rear seat gear or don't care about keeping it working, then you can ignore the warning. If you have it and want it to continue working, then I recommend contacting an advisor using 1-800-324-9695 to discuss all your goals and vehicle to get a personal recommendation on gear that will work

All my songs have album artwork but when I burn a CD and play it on the BossBV765B most of the album pictures don't show. A few do, but most just have the generic square with the music note in it...is anyone aware of the reason why the album artwork isn't showing up? I've tried burning the the CD as a data disc also and it still doesn't work

Does this head unit allow me to use the stock rear view camera on my 2017 civic sport?
    [ Civic2017  Aug 02, 2020 ]

If your vehicle backup camera has a direct plug-in connector, it will work
    [ Vance  Aug 12, 2020 ]  Staff
    A
I would think it would as it just passes on video stream and the video cable should work. I had to buy a camera because my older model truck did not have a camera. The camera power was tied to to the backup lights to power the camera. Not sure how the Honda camera gets its power.

Is there a way to make the rear view appear automatically whenever you put it in reverse? I don't want to have to navigate to the back-up cam function every time I back up.
    [ Dbear  Apr 20, 2020 ]
    1 answer
    A
Yes. You have to splice the backup camera wire into the either the left or right side reverse light in the vehicle. By doing this, the camera will activate automatically when you put the transmission into reverse. It will shut off when you shift out of reverse. The wiring harness for the backup camera is pre-configured to make the splice. You will need to buy some inline splice connectors from Crutchfield or an auto parts store

In my application (2005 Honda civic) the unit was stand alone. The only wires available for car functions on the recever pigtail were reverse signal and parking signal to allow the video and reverse camera functions.

I am not going to be 100% on this one. Although, there is a setting under the volume section on the radio that allows you to turn on "sub woofers" so I would assume yes.

Is the screen brightness adjustable? Does the screen automatically dim when the cars headlights turn on?
    [ Austin  Jul 17, 2018 ]
    2 answers
    A
The screen brightness is adjustable. On the bottom menu there is a light bulb icon. If you hold it for a second the screen will dim a little. Do it again and it will dim more. If you do it a third time the screen will turn off. If you quickly touch the icon the screen will also turn off.

I don't think it's adjustable, but with that said it's not terribly bright at night either.
