Your smartphone companion

Part of the joy of streaming music on your smartphone is that it's easy. And JVC doesn't mess with a good thing — their KD-X360BTS digital media receiver keeps things simple in your car. Built-in Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, and an aux input make playing music from your phone quick and satisfying. And if streaming isn't your thing, you can add a SiriusXM satellite radio tuner (sold separately) and expand your entertainment horizons even more.

Pair two phones at once

No matter what kind of phone you're using, Bluetooth pairing is automatic every time you hop in the car. You can also pair two phones at once — if you share a vehicle, getting connected is less of a hassle than adjusting the rear-view or getting the driver seat like you like it.

Awesome for Android™ and Apple®

Android® users can control Pandora®, Spotify®, and iHeartRadio® right from the stereo through the Bluetooth connection — no wires needed. If you'd like to do the same with an iPhone, no problem — you'll need to connect via USB. JVC's remote control app lets you use your compatible Android or iPhone touchscreen to control the action on your receiver using finger swipes and gestures.

With a wired connection, you'll be able to take advantage of the USB port's powerful 1.5-amp charging capability.

Add on satellite radio

When AM/FM ain't enough, add a SiriusXM® tuner (sold separately) to your KD-X360BTS and start enjoying the wide variety of music, sports, news, and entertainment available. You can explore an incredible selection of music with your subscription, and the best part is you can drive state to state to state without losing your favorite channels.

Prioritize audio quality

The KD-X360BTS plays MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, and even FLAC files, and you can make the most of them with a wide array of sound-shaping tools, including time alignment to focus the sound at your seat, Sound Lift to raise your music from depths of your doors, and a 13-band graphic equalizer. Plus, JVC's proprietary K2 sound enhancement technology brings out the best in each song.

Always room to expand

JVC prepares you for improvement by arming the KD-X360BTS with three sets of 4-volt preamp outputs. When you're ready, you'll be able to easily add amps and a sub to your system.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Can't beat the price and features. Only reason for 4 stars is for 2 reasons: the display color can't be adjusted to match the rest of the colors. Second, any adjustments on the equalizer or ither bass enhancement or loudness settings actually affects all of the other adjustments you had already made. I have it installed in an older Mercedes with the Bose system and the volume does not get very loud and varies in loudness to the point of sounding compressed. Super easy to use.

Pros: Price, features, ease of use

Cons: Instructions are limited. Sound adjustments change all other sounds. Preout voltage is compressed and not as powerful as other units.

Easy to instal and a good fit. Buttons are too small and hard to read. It was a little difficult to set up. However, the car is only driven 2500 miles a year and I got the receiver to replace horrible original equip. and for blue tooth. Therefore this should work just fine. Finally, customer service people were great, very friendly and knowledgable.

This was a gift for my husband's birthday. He installed it by himself into a 1999 Ford F-150. He loves this truck and wanted a more modern sound system. This is the second time he has upgraded the music in it. Everything came with the radio and he seems very happy with it, and that makes me happy too.

I had no idea the stock speakers could sound so good. Planned on replacing them next but this stereo really woke them up. It is true it can take a little while to learn. I had to read manual more than once. But it has lots of features.

Pros: Performance, and sound quality are great. Lots of options. Price was reasonable.

Cons: Doesn't dispense money, no auto pilot function

Excellent Sound and Volume for an Inexpensive Radio. Streams Blue Tooth flawless. My only concern is that I purchased this for my commuter car and so far I have found no way to have the Time or Clock show while streaming or listening to the Radio. Very Simple install into my PT Cruiser. Matching up the harness wires and crimping them was a breeze and I did this prior to the install. Crutchfield was excellent as usual!

Pros: Good Power for the price. Streams Flawless

Cons: No Clock Display while Steaming or paying the Radio

I really like this receiver! It's a wonderful value and does what I needed for my old car. Fairly straight forward to get started and the call quality is excellent on both ends. FM Radio reception was a slight let down but that could be attributed to an aftermarket radio antenna that's mounted to the glass.

This is a great unit with a lot of features. You really have to go through the manual to understand all the great features this unit is capable of. The sound is awesome going out to my two dash 4x6 speakers and two 6 1/2 roll bar speakers. The Jeep factory amp/subwoofer had a lot to be desired so I ordered a Soundstream PN5.640D amp. This will run my new 6 3/4 kicker and the other four speakers and bring this system to light. Very impressed with my new Radio

Pros: Tons of options, easy installation, great sounds

Cons: Small buttons next to volume are hard to hot while driving

    Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I purchased this to replace the factory Radio in my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. It was easy to install in about 30 minutes. It has a lot of features and sounds much better than the factory system. The ability to raise the sound greatly improves the sound quality since the speakers are down low. I was able to match the dash lights color perfectly. Additionally, the added storage pocket below the stereo (since I removed a double din system and added a single din) is convenient. I would highly recommend this product for the price and quality.

Pros: Variable color, ease of installation, features

Cons: There are a lot of menu options and the included manual does not go into them. You will need to download the actual manual from JVC to learn about them all.

Great unit! Simple, straight forward. I put this in my Young daughter's car and it is simple for her to hook up to Spotify and answer calls easily on the road. The voice clarity on the phone using the mic is awesome. I purchased the already assembled wire harness and it was well worth it. I installed the stereo in less than 30 minutes. All in and all another great experience with Crutchfield.

Pros: Good price for unit Preassembled harness Unit arrived quickly Awesome support if needed

Cons: Only issue is I wish the prepared harness was cheaper - say $15. $25 is a bit steep, but a necessary evil for time purposes.

Installed this unit in my 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis without an issue. I did purchase the ready harness, but nonetheless, the unit fit perfectly. I noticed a significant difference between this unit and the stock unit from 2001 (shocker I know). Even with the stock speakers and no subwoofer, I the music was much clearer and I felt more bass in the car. The display is pretty straightforward and a quick skim through the manual will tell you all you need to know. Numerous features light RGB change and a pro equalizer along with a simplified equalizer for fast changes. My phone connected with no problems and is picked up quickly upon starting my car. With a quick change of the device name, it soon felt seamless. I have yet to try the auxiliary connection, so I cant say much on that. Same goes for the USB port for stored music, but I did you that port for charging my phone. It charges at a decent speed, and kept me listening to my music. Overall this unit is exactly what I needed, and I would recommend to anyone as a step up from stock for sure. Light on the bank account, and sounds 10x better than any stock unit. Great unit, great price.

Pros: Improved quality of sound Numerous features on display Nice to look at Affordable Fully bluetooth capable Usb Charges phone well

Cons: Display menus may be a little much for some

lots of whistles and bells on this unit. but thats the problem, there are so many menu, and sub menu items to scroll through to find what adjustment you want, that its very frustrating, and the manual is poor, and doesnt cover everything. Its like a puzzle trying to figure it out.

Pros: just about everything you could want in a media unit

This is a great headunit. Bought it because it was cheap and I needed to get some sound in my old 4runner. Sounds great, connects quick- all the things you would expect. The lighting is my favorite feature - you can adjust the Hue of the base colors meaning you can match the color to your dash lights perfectly. really that is my number one deciding factor when purchasing an aftermarket stereo. Cons - personal preference buts its glossy and has small chrome accents on it. its 2019 stereo manufactures... please make a cheap headunit in Matte with no chrome and silly nonsense on it. If JVC made an 'oem looking' headunit the could all retire rich in a few years. rant over- great unit, you won't be disappointed

Pros: Easily Match OEM light color

Cons: Chrome and a bit flashy like all the other head units

This radio is so perfect, works so well, in my 1994 Ford F-150 that I just cannot recommend it highly enough. What a homerun I hit when I ordered this from Crutchfield and installed it. Works great with Bluetooth (I use android) as well for hands free talking on the phone. Thank you Crutchfield!

Pros: Easy to install, great sound and performance. Bluetooth connection works flawlessly.

Cons: This particular version may not be compatible with some smart phone software when using the USB port hookup and trying to use your phone as a remote control. Also, the instruction pamphlet is sorely lacking.

A very good quality in-dash unit with some nice features and great sound. The sound is better than expected for a "budget" in-dash, but way better than the stock receiver. It has many nice features including bluetooth and phone charging capabilities. The omly issue I've encountered so far is it's connectivity to my iPhone 7 via bluetooth. Maybe it's the way I set it up, but so far I've had to manually connect it several times since installation.

Pros: Lots of good features, great sound quality.

Cons: Bluetooth connectivity hit & miss, so far.

Installed on a 2011 Toyota Tacoma with a sub. Pretty simple interface, fit well with the custom trim pieces. Bluetooth connects reasonably quickly. Lots of EQ settings that I don't understand. Bumped up the volume in my truck. Display is pretty easy to read even in bad lighting. One issue I found is if it doesn't connect to my phone via Bluetooth, it is difficult to get it to connect without turning the truck off and back on. Maybe that's just me. Overall, it's a nice unit and has plenty of features and usability. I would recommend. I've bought probably 4 head units in the last couple years, this is one of my favorites. Also, sub and speaker amp connections is a plus

Other than that I liked it and I would recommend it to others.

The JVC KD-X360BTS is a perfectly fine unit. It's not fancy, though there are more audio settings than a non-technical person (like I am) would ever use. The Bluetooth connection works well and the microphone works great. But I don't love this receiver for three reasons. First, the clock doesn't display when listening to the radio or Bluetooth. Oddly, the date is visible. I almost never need to know the date when I'm driving but I've discovered the I often wonder about the time. Second, I often hear static when listening to talk radio (and maybe music, too). I don't remember having this problem with the stock radio. Third, the faceplate has chrome accents but the interior of my truck doesn't. I wish I would have thought of this little detail before purchasing the radio. Most vehicles have chrome somewhere in the interior and this faceplate uses it tastefully, so most folks won't mind this attribute.

Pros: Easy to install. Sound is pretty good. Adequately customizable.

Cons: Clock does not display. Static from radio.

Disappointed. You have to constantly adjust the equalizer for every song regardless of genre (even within the same genre) or format and some songs you just can't dial in at all and the ones you can aren't great. A little bass here a little mid and treble there I can understand but it's way beyond that. I never had this problem on any hardware I've ever owned. You can't see the display in the daytime on full brightness.

    Pros: None

Great sound, good looking stereo. Fit into a 2006 impress perfectly. The only complaint is learning how to navigate the menus, maybe it's an age thing, but that was the only reason I didn't give give it 5 stars

    Pros: Great fit, great sound

    Cons: Menus

So far so good, sounds great looks good!

Pros: Shallow depth makes for easy install in tight spaces! My daughter needed new tunes in her Jeep, I ordered the wrong year for the "extra" parts (install kit, wiring harness, speaker wiring harness) the install could have gone smoother but we prevailed in the end! (not my first rodeo with aftermarket radios!)

    Cons: Order the correct year!

Easy to learn controls, quite intuitive. Plenty of features and power. If you are looking for something that isn't all fluff but has the kind of features that make for a great listening experience. This is it.

    Pros: Easy to operate.

Cons: No touch screen, no back up camera, no DVD, no CD, but that's why I bought it.

Fit my 2007 Jeep Liberty and very easy to install

Fit my 2007 Jeep Liberty just like the factory radio . Instructions are very poorly written and tiny but after downloading and printing full set better. If not for a lot of help from Crutchfield tech support I might have sent it back. After a week I still have operations I can not perform and will be calling for help which is time consuming and I have to be sitting in my car to use support. This a great radio and works well on the funtions that I use. I am 80+ years and a little behind the times in technical terms of today but I was able to install this radio with no hardware issues. Had Crutchfield prewire the harness which is a great time saver. Radio has great sound with my factory Bose speakers. It will be 5 Stars when I get last few options taken care of. It still has buttons I don't know what they are for.

Pros: Great Sound using my factory Bose speakers. Works with my steering wheel controls. BT easy to setup. Crutchfield Rep ordered all the parts to make this installation exactly what I wanted. Good price value.

Cons: Text screen a little small and clock is hard to read. You need to download full set of instructions and print them.

The radio came with all of the installation items I needed to fit the unit to my truck. Instructions were very detailed and specific to my vehicle which made installation a breeze. The radio is good and gives good sound and tons of variations that allow total personalization.

Pros: Loads of functions to make your listening exactly what you want

Cons: So many functions and personalization features, it can be little overwhelming.

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth Technology: The JVC KD-X360BTS is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 3.0, allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit. In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must also be Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles:

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP 1.6 (Hands Free Profile) & PBAB 1.0 (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP 1.2 (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) & AVRCP 1.5 (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the JVC KD-X360BTS. Check here for the latest Bluetooth compatibility information.

SSP & USB Pairing: With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the JVC KD-X360BTS without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings. You can even pair your Apple iPhone (iOS 5+) by simply connecting it to the JVC head unit via USB and following a single prompt on the head unit's display.

    • Dual Phone Connection: Thanks to the Dual Phone Connection feature, two Bluetooth-enabled phones can remain connected to the JVC receiver. This means you can an answer an incoming call from either phone from the head unit. Also, both of your phone's contact lists are downloaded to the receiver. To make a call from one of the phones using the JVC receiver, you simply have to select Phone 1 or Phone 2 on the head unit's front-panel.
    • Streaming DJ: The new Streaming DJ feature allows five Bluetooth audio source devices to be connected to the JVC receiver at one time, so you can switch between Bluetooth playback sources a lot easier and quicker. While "BT Audio" source is selected on the head unit, you can simply press the music playback button on your connected Bluetooth source devices to switch between devices and begin music playback. However, you cannot stream audio from two different Bluetooth audio source devices at the same time or combine music libraries or playlists from two different connected devices.
Note: You can pair up to five Bluetooth-enabled devices to the JVC head unit. When an already paired Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.

Bluetooth Hands-Free Communication (w/ External Mic): The head unit supports Bluetooth hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. And thanks to the latest Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.6) with wideband speech capability, the KD-X360BTS provides more natural sound quality and details during wireless calls. The controls of the KD-X360BTS can be used to dial a number, answer an in-coming call, or end a call. The unit also includes an external microphone (with mounting bracket) featuring adjustable gain, so you can carry on your side of the conversation while listening to the caller through your vehicles speakers. During a conversation, you can switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode.

    • Answering A Call: When a call comes in, a ring-tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker and the caller's name or phone number will be displayed. You can answer the call from the head unit's front-panel controls, or setup the head unit to automatically answer the incoming call immediately or after 1-30 seconds. The KD-X360BTS also supports the Call Waiting function, so you can answer another incoming call while suspending the current call you are on. Your compatible cell-phone must also support this feature.
    • Dialing A Number: Using the KD-X360BTS, you can dial a phone number in one of the following ways:
      • Enter Phone #: Allows you to directly dial a phone number up to 32 digits from the head unit's front-panel rotary dial.
      • Preset Dialing: You can store up to 6 contacts in the memory of this unit for speed dialing.
      • Phone Book: You can download phone book data from your mobile phone to the digital media receiver. You can then dial a contact within the phonebook from the head unit's front-panel controls. Your phonebook can be searched alphabetically or numerically.
      • Call History: The Call History is a list of calls that have originated from and were received by this unit that you can dial. You can select Outgoing, Incoming, or Missed calls.
      • Voice Dialing: If your mobile phone supports voice recognition, then you can dial out by voice command. Simply speak into the included microphone once you have activated the voice dialing function from the head unit's front-panel.

Wireless Audio Streaming: The JVC KD-X360BTS supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or audio player, plus song/artist information display. You are able to stream your stored music library on your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, as well as music apps downloaded on your smartphone to the JVC KD-X360BTS for playback.

    • SBC + AAC Codecs: In addition to support for the standard SBC Bluetooth audio codec, the KD-X360BTS offers support of AAC. By supporting AAC, the KD-X360BTS offers better audio performance of the music streamed from your Apple iPod, iPhone, or iPad.
    • Advanced Music Browsing: In addition to basic playback functions (Play/Pause, FF/RW, Skip, Random/Repeat), the KD-X360BTS lets you browse your stored music by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, etc. Advanced music browsing is supported by Android 4.0+ smartphones and Apple iPhones 5.0+ (specific advanced functions vary by phone).
    • Song/Artist Information: The head unit will also display your stored music and music app's song information; such as Artist name and Song/Album title (not compatible with all apps).
Note: When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call. Once the call is finished, your streaming music will resume.

Siri Eyes Free Control: When paired to an iPhone with Siri via Bluetooth, the JVC KD-X360BTS has the ability to access Siri through its front-panel control and external microphone. Simply press the "phone command" button on the KD-X360BTS to engage Siri and use the included microphone to communicate with Siri. Siri's voice will heard through your vehicle's speakers. All Siri functions including hands-free calling, music search, setting reminders, text-messaging, audible navigation, and more can be done through the head unit and its microphone. You can even ask Siri to get directions to a destination and the turn-by-turn instructions will heard through your vehicle's speakers, while the on-screen map still displays on your iPhone with Bluetooth; the head unit's audio is attenuated while Siri provides audible directions.

Note: The head unit will only display hands-free calling and Bluetooth audio information (all other functions of Siri are only audible through the KD-X360BTS; visual data will still need to be viewed from your iPhone device).

Low Battery Information: When the battery of a connected Bluetooth device runs low, a beep sound is heard and "LOW BATTERY" appears on the receiver's display.

    Android & iPhone Integration

Android Open Accessory 2.0 (AOA 2.0) Connectivity: The JVC KD-X360BTS's front-panel USB port lets you connect your AOA 2.0 compatible Android (OS 4.1-7.1.2) smartphone for music playback. JVC does not guarantee operation with all Android devices, regardless of operating system. There are two Android AOA 2.0 modes to choose from based on what content you want to listen to and how you want to control it.

    • Auto Mode: The JVC KD-X360BTS supports Android Open Accessory 2.0 (AOA 2.0), which lets you connect your Android (OS 4.1-7.1.2) smartphone to the KD-X360BTS's USB port and listen to stored music and music apps from your Android device through the JVC head unit. You'll be able to control basic playback functions such as Play/Pause and Previous/Next Track. Other advanced music navigation will still be done from your Android smartphone's touchscreen. In this mode, the head unit will not display song/artist information; only "Audio Mode" will show up on display. You'll continue to view song/artist information from the Android device's touchscreen. You'll also still be able to access other functions and applications from your Android smartphone's touchscreen, while listening to music through the head unit. If you make a call or answer a call from your smartphone while listening to music in this mode, the music will pause until you are finished with the call and then start back up again.
    • JVC Music Play App: Downloading the JVC Music Play app onto your Android (OS 4.1-7.1.2) smartphone not only allows you to listen to stored music from your Android device through the JVC digital media receiver connected via USB, but it also lets you browse your Android smartphone's music library from the head unit's front-panel controls. You can browse your store music library by Playlist, Artist, Song, Album, or Genre. You can also control Play/Pause and Previous/Next track from the head unit. In addition, the head unit will display song/artist information. You can exit the JVC Music Play app to access other functions and applications of your Android smartphone, while your stored music library is still playing through your head unit. If you make a call or answer a call from your smartphone while listening to music in this mode, the music will pause until you are finished with the call and then start back up again.
Note: Some Android devices may not fully support Android Open Accessory (AOA) 2.0. JVC does not guarantee operation with all Android devices.

iPhone Direct Connection: The JVC KD-X360BTS's front-panel USB port can be used to connect a Lightning-connector or 30-pin dock connector iPod/iPhone to the head unit (see chart below for compatibility). The KD-X360BTS supports audio playback, music navigation, information display, and charging of your compatible Apple device. If you have a newer iPod/iPhone with the Lightning-connector, you can use JVC's Lightning connector-to-USB cable (105KSU62, sold separately) or the Lightning-to-USB cable that came with your Apple device to connect your iPod/iPhone to the KD-X360BTS. If you have an older iPod/iPhone with a 30-pin dock connector, you can will need to use the dock connector-to-USB cable that comes with your Apple device or a "Made For iPod/iPhone" 30-pin-to-USB cable (sold separately) to connect your iPod/iPhone to the KD-X360BTS.

    • Head Unit Control: From the head unit's front-panel controls you can search for stored music by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Podcast, Genre, and Composer. The contents of a Playlist or Category can be searched alphabetically or numerically. The KD-X360BTS also supports Repeat (file/all) and Random (album/all) playback functions of stored music on your iPod/iPhone. In addition, you'll be able to control basic playback functions (such as Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track) from stored music and select music apps streamed to your Apple iPod/iPhone. You can also choose to control your Apple device from its own touchscreen, instead of the head unit.
    • Song/Artist Info: The KD-X360BTS will display your iPod/iPhone's music file information such as Track number, Elapsed playing time, Artist name, Song title, and Album title.
Note: See chart below for compatible Apple iPod, iPhone, & iPad models.

USB Charging: The head unit's USB connection provides 1.5A of current to power and charge your connected iPod/iPhone or Android smartphone when your vehicle's ignition switch is set to the 'ACC' or 'On' position (if your iPod/iPhone or Android smartphone has no initial battery charge, then the unit will not recognize it).

Apple Device Compatibility Chart: The JVC KD-X360BTS is "Made for iPod/iPhone" compatible and supports the following iPod/iPhone model features (as of 4/5/2019):

USB MSC Playback: The JVC KD-X360BTS features front-panel USB (type-A) port that is hidden by a flip-out cover. The USB port enables connection of a USB mass storage class (MSC) device; like a USB thumbdrive, USB card reader, or portable digital audio player. You can insert a compatible USB MSC device into the head unit's USB port for playback, control, and song/artist display of a variety of music files.

    • Music Drive: The Music Drive feature lets you switch between multiple memory cards in a USB multi-card reader. When a mass storage class (MSC) compatible smartphone is connected to the head unit's USB input, the unit's Music Drive features lets you select its internal memory or external memory (such as an SD card) for stored music playback.
    • USB Charging: USB devices that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the digital media receiver's USB ports (max. 1.5A), and the vehicle's ignition switch is set to ACC or On.
Note: Not compatible with USB hubs.

Compatible Music Files: The JVC KD-X360BTS supports the following types of music files loaded onto a USB mass storage class device.

Simply connect your portable digital music player to the unit's front-panel auxiliary input, and you can listen to the audio from the portable player through the speakers in your mobile audio system.

    Audio Section

24 Bit D/A Converter: The JVC KD-X360BTS in-dash digital media receiver utilizes a 24-bit (DAC (digital-to-analog converter) for superior sound quality.

MOSFET Amplifier: The JVC KD-X360BTS is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. The power output specs for the KD-X360BTS are as follows:

    • Full Bandwidth Power: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20-20kHz, 1% THD)
    • Maximum Output Power: 50 watts x 4 channels (200 total watts)

Amp Gain: When you are using the KD-X360BTS with factory speakers (or those rated to less than 50 watts peak), the Amplifier Gain Control can limit the amount of power being sent to those speakers. When the Amp Gain Control is set to "low," the volume control ranges from 0 (minimum) to 25 (maximum). When using speakers rated higher than 50 watts peak, you can set the Amp Gain Control to "high," and the volume control will range from 0 to 35.

6ch/4V Preamp Outputs + Sub Control: The JVC KD-X360BTS features front, rear and subwoofer 4-volt preamp outputs. The front and rear speaker preamp outputs are balance and fade adjustable. The subwoofer preamp output is non-fading and offers independent level control (-50 to +10).

Subwoofer Speaker Connection: You can connect a subwoofer to this head unit without the need of a separate power amplifier. Simply connect a single subwoofer (4-8 ohm) directly to head unit's left rear speaker leads (the right rear speaker output will be muted). The rated power output for the subwoofer speaker channel remains 22 watts. Same subwoofer controls apply, except the, subwoofer level adjustment is from -6 to+3.

Vehicle Setup: In order to optimize the sound quality in your vehicle, you can indentify the type of vehicle you have and the rear speaker location, as well as configure listening distances.

    • Car Type: Select your car type to automatically set the delay time of each speaker for timing adjustment of sound output of each channel to have the highest surround effect. Choose from Compact, Full Size Car, Wagon, Mini Van, SUV, or Off
    • Rear Speaker Location: You can indicate the location of your vehicle's Rear speakers. Choose from Door, Rear Deck, 2nd Row, or 3rd Row.
    • DTA (Digital Time Alignment): For a better sound-stage you can select your optimal listening position. You can choose from All, Front Left, Front Right or Front. You can also select to manually fine tune the sound stage, using Digital Time Alignment (DTA) by selecting the distance (0-20') for each individual speaker in the vehicle compared to your listening position.

Crossover Network: The JVC KD-X360BTS lets you choose between a 2-way or 3-way crossover network for your car audio application.

    [ John  Jun 29, 2019 ]

    A
As long as your CD players has a preamp output you should be able to connect it to the AUX input on the JVC with an RCA to 3.5mm adapter like this: https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rET1c290/p_1426RCA35A/Scosche-Mini-to-RCA-Cable.html

I haven't found where you can adjust the call volume separate from the normal music volume. It seems the radio uses the phone's volume to control the call volume and Bluetooth functions. So if your phone is set at max volume then when you use the functions from the phone like playing music off your phone or getting a call you will have to adjust the volume of the radio individually then back it off after turning off the phone function. You can lower or increase the phone's volume then it is ok on the radio's volume.
